well i'm finally getting the swing of computer coloring. i need to get myself a wacom tablet though 'cause i'm still just using the mouse for now.
i'm taking a break from the "Animated look" and going this time for comic book. drawing direct inspiration from the Ultimate X-Men series covers.
oh my poor friends, whenever i want to try something new they always end up as the victioms of my pencil
nothing serious really, just having fun learning. any feedback would be awsome! things i can improve on for next time and such.
thanks for veiwing
thanks for your feedback guys!
okay here's another friend, this time i tried to do a bit better on the finished look of the arms. clothing i'm still working on

very promising maybe for your next project, try vectorising your linework. it gives you a sharper, cleaner line, and will be easier on your poor wrist and hand what with the mouse and all. i really like the last 2 portraits, but the 3rd is my fave overall. keep posting, keep experimenting!
Thanks guys! wow you were fast.
so, vectorising? can that be done with Photoshop or is it in an Illustrator program?
and thanks! i'm getting myself into a strange style for the hair somewhere between Marvel and Alphonso Mucha. who is one of the coolest artist to me.
my goal for an awsome illustration would be Marvel modernism, with Mucha technic, and Norman Rockwell feeling and warmth.
hmm, i should see if that would be possible
I love the portrait of the guy, he has a great smile

Great faces. I like the last one the best...she's got a cute shy look Careful about the anatomy on the third one...her chest area looks off.
you can vectorise in PS, yes...it takes a while, but you can do it. I'd avoid using blur or smudge at all.. even with a mouse you can manage a nicer gradation especially if you're using vector already.
Faces are all well done, but clothes + arms need some work - use more hard brushes, or vectoring as suggested before.
mkay i just posted a new one with better arm quality i think. i still don't think i quite have the groove for clothing yet though, but i'll be working on that.
haha! if my friend heard anyone call her shy and cute she'd probably sucker punch them! (she's quite the opposite, a bit hostile if you ask me:p)
ooh how glad i am that posting on this website is safe territory!
