awesome drunken master sketching technique! great hand studies!
I don't like the noses! :U some overkill critique: try drawing the center plane as a thinner plane, almost a dull edge. around the knuckle of the nose it's pretty flat but between it and the forehead if you draw a clear edges broad flatness there it'll be much more closer to how it looks when you frown. check it out. when you frown, the noseknuckle-to-forehead area actually becomes more cubical :U the noseridge-to-eye skin area recedes into the side of the nose (concave even in a hard frown) there while if you're relaxed it's more smoothly sloped. same with the brow-to-nose. it's a nice way to sketch in the features but it's better to just close the contour of the nose like an upside down U between nose knuckle and forehead.
then the area of the noseknuckle-to-"ball" of nose is mostly a slim facet. V-shaped typically.
also the ..shape of the "ball" of the nose is more easily to denote with lines if you have a thinner ridge-denotation coming down to it.
don't be reluctant to break up the lining of the nose :U most parts of its length don't make a contour from the front.
(except for antique statue ideal faces, then my critique is invalid )
Beautiful work so far, I definitely love your darker works near the front of this sketch thread. I'll be keeping watch of this thread in the future.
Goodbye my Sunshine, for we are but smoke and ash...
