We dug a bit deeper into the vaults and found some older, experimental imagery for a race that didn't make the final cut -- but we think is way cool nonetheless :-)

(hito, there will most definitely be Big Huge artists dropping by the art show on a regular basis)

Great update!!! You guys definetly created a stand alone game. The idea and designs are really great. I gotta get a job with you guys!

If you haven't gotten the game I really recommend it!

Was hoping you guys would have a show of this work. I'll definitely be there! The design is always what has stood out to me about this game, phenomenal! It also helps that the game is fun too! Heh heh. I have limited time to play but am almost on to the Cuotl part of the campaign, very cool.

Congrats! All your hard work paid off, the guys at BHG are a talented group.

Are you planning on having an "Art of Rise of Legends" book? Would definitely be a must-have for my shelf!

The last update is a real joy to look at, except maybe some of the less worked-on pieces which don't seem to immediately communicate ...with me at least

Oh! The inspiration!

I wish I could work on a game like this!
I imagine it would be so much fun to work off of Leonardo Davinci's designs and notebooks like this.

See, this is why game development can be a fun career.

Thanks for sharing these with us. It really brings the games design challenges into perspective.

I only hope the game lives up to the artwork in quality of gameplay....

The one will not guarantee the other, and unfortunately if the gameplay suffers, all these brilliant designs may not get much exposure; which in my book would just be a crime.

Hope that doesn't happen.

Peace!

I'm grateful that you provided us with such inspirational artwork. It's so amazing to see how quickly the games industry is evolving, which is good news for gamers (and bad news for aspiring people like myself who see this and realize that I've got to get my butt in gear to compete against stuff like this).

But it's motivating, that's for certain. Seeing work like this has inspired me to try and take my work beyond to the next level.
