BETTER BELOW (HIT 'END' KEY)
Well, I thought I should start another book seeing as my other one wasn't such a big hit and I have advanced alot in my knowledge of anatomy and such. I still have a few flaws and I know some of you will suggest lessons/practice, but its to be expected
I am fifteen and seem to get alot of inspiration from all the artists here and elsewhere. I can spend hours just looking at some of your sketchbooks and online portfolios and I really enjoy sketching rather than drawing, although putting time into a piece can often be quite satisfying.
I rarely spend more than 10 minutes on each drawing before I lose interest or think of something else that would look cool.
Anyways, 'ere we go
I know the left shoulder is screwed up a bit.

For 15 you are very good. The second to last image is my favourite, an interesting desgin and quite nice lines. Like you say yourself, anatomy study and life drawing is a must! You have a great start and if you keep drawing and learning in a few years time you'll be awesome.

Thanks man, your quick comment is really appreciated.
My art teacher wanted me to attend after-school life drawing, but my school couldnt pay for a model so that idea was scrapped
I wish I could get some replies in any of my books that I start
Anyways, maybe this bump will do it for me.
I used a really big pencil crayon for some of these, then went over in pen.

You got some nice sketches man! I especially like the first! Keep it up!
Do more anatomy studies! That should help you alot. Keep at it bro!
Cool stuff! I really like your hand studies. You have nice hatching but you should practice rendering, to show form better. Dont get let down because of no replies, keep at it!
Nice hands, lovin your concepts, very cool beasties. and yet another reply.
not affiliated and not worth your time. dead as of april
Awesome! Im really impressed here, are you really just 15?!
One thing that I notice is that your faces in half front view are kind of smooth, you should try to study and show the skull more clearly. Get some skull references and try to learn the structure. I am myself struggling with this.
This one: boom_headshot.jpg is great! Love that one.
Great bunch of drawings! Hell, i need to start practicing more!
Really nice loose stuff. I love.
I love your drawing style!
With the people sketches, you've really got it going! Just the eyes seem a bit odd at times. It might help if you'd draw some faces with the skeletal structure underneath: just draw eye sockets on top with pencil, draw the whole eyeballs in it, then draw the eyelids over it and start shading. That made it easier for me.
Wow man, you rock! I, too, am 15, but you totally kick my butt! Great job, and don't forget to keep practicing!
Morbid: Yep, I am 15. I have been working alot more on the faces too, but I havent been able to get on the computer with the scanner in a while. I'll try and get them in today. Thanks for the reply!
TGping: Thanks dude, I really appreciate it.
Erilaz: Thanks for the compliment, and replying
artificial_green: Thankyou for replying, I will definately take your suggestion. I usually use pen, because I hate the sound pencil makes... lmao. Kinda lame, I know, but I should really start using it more.
questleader: Thanks dude, and I definately wont
damn boy, you make me want to go back in time to when I was 15 and kick my ass everyday I didn't draw. I really like your hatching technique it looks very good. Your very good at drawing people, I'd be interested in seeing some environments
Wow, a lot of drawings. Looking good again!
1 - like the movement in the robot. He is really walking, would make a nice animation.
2 - the hands: i see you mark the joints, good. The one in the upper left corner is really good. You could see the palm of the hand as a flat block more, it kind of loses its shape in some sketches. The heads: I guess you already have seen the left one doesn't work. The middle one has a mouth that is too big, mainly because of the corners of the mouth. The right one could have shown a bit of eyelash. The feet: draw the ankle, the heel and the forefoot like you draw the joints in the hands.
3 - Good work here. like the poses in the upper left corner.
4 - Good wings here, they connect nicely to the shoulders. The first skull is a little out of form, the second is great, teeth in the right place too. The face studies have some problems here and there but improving. The lowest one is good. Watch how perspective works on the lips. You've really caught the look of the women in the right lower corner. The sketch of the eye is too basic though, more of a scheme then a drawing.
5 - the hands: same story as 2. The woman below them is good. Beautiful pose, good proportions, feet the right size. The neck and the breasts are a bit off. The standing woman is good, nice study of shadow. Her back an her feet could be a little longer though.
Hope you can use my comments, I do have a problem explaining anatomy in english...

This is great stuff, I like your style =) I would focus on developing your faces more. Keep it up!
hi blitz =)
Gosh your only 15.. you "wowed" me! your hand studies are really cool especially the way you placed it with the head studies. Your cross hatch is very clean! hm the girls head in your recent study with the profile of the skull..her forehead seems slightly large and long....maybe its suppose to look like that in the perspective. But yea, very nice! keep it up =) looking forward to more =)
