lots of nice sketches and characters throughout and your work has some nice subtle details...keep up the good work.
Another one with a GREAT imagination. Continue to study how to become a better artist but man keep rockin those crazy ideas in your head cuz THAT is what is going to separate you from other artists!! Keep up the good work.
Gotta agree with penciller. The thought behind the concept seems very thorough, thou I must point out that for a race from īnuther planet the creature seem very Sol3 bound. I really like how blurred that hook apears.
Mībee I can post you some ref for that lion-taur(?) later. Think I got sumthin fitting in a RIFTs Scource book.
not a bad ChoW character... hey Im really fuckin diggin the army guy with the animal cage and the bunny stickin out of his bicep, first thought in my mind was Nicholas Cage in Con Air, 'Now put the buney back in the box...' god that was a horrible accent... and cant wait to see that vehicle when its done!
take it easy and keep postin.

hey man, ment to reply here awhile ago but your imagination stuff is really cool! your poses are looking pretty good, but keep working on anatomy+ preportions it will really help. You have a pretty sweet style developing just make sure you keep trying to push yourself.
I'd like to see some diff medias (get out of the comfort zone sometimes) and maybe try more contrast with your pencils. I also recommend doing regular drawings from life, it will directly impact and compliment your imagination. Looking great, keep putting in the hard work!
@thepenciler:thank you very much. But i guess i still need to refine my skills a lot.I will, it jut takes time.
@bbwolf:Thanks mate.Yeah, i guess it could live in the pacific sea from what we know.Whatever, hope I do better for the next contest.Ref for the pose would be nice
@this1:lol, i wasn't thinking about that but i remember the scene...argh yes, guess i gotta keep this updated, and I will, one way or the other
@Spade:thanks a lot for the comment.YEah, anatomy and proportion need constant practice, I'm gonna read and practice loomis again in the next days. You're right about the new medias too, I should give it a try.But i need money, and time.
Ok, here's the lame update, its for the Fake Game project here at CA.org, beign the "crature designer" i started with some thumbnails.Very, very quick stuff, but i'm happy with them.
haha sweet! dude the one with the squid face rocks my socks,
keep it up yo!
Great sketchbook! Your style reminds me of another artist i know, where even the "junky" stuff still looks cool. You've improved a lot and you're far better than I, but i would reccomend less studies from ref and more from life. Keep drawing every day, it shows!
Cool game concepts man! What game genre they for? Im always intrested when people post work for games. Im studying Games Design at uni, so seeing others work keeps me on my toes, hehe. Great imagination as ever, keep it up! I agree with Spade, the squid concept is cool. Cheers!
Nice fast stuff. Good variety and enuff to see where itīs supposed to go. Perfect for determining where to go and what to eliminate.
My fav is the first two and the last. real creepy.
About the squidface, took the tentackles for hair and saw the face at the opposite site of the head, īcause itīs pointing in that direction. Like dancin. Had to read the other post before realising that. (I was like What squidface???)
@Spade:thanks man.The first one was chose in the end.Lol, guess that squit face was a bit too chtulhu like
@Fishspawn:Thanks for the nice words.Guess you're right about ref/life drawing, but i need much more time fopr some decent life drawing.
@Kuniva:Glad you still pop by once in a while. The (Fake) game project is a Survival Horror, you find more info in the topic in the Game Design area of this forum.
@bbwolf: thanks man.The first one was chose, but with a four legged stance.God, the poses were really horrible there
Ok, finished more detailed version of the creeper, the pose is from a pic of a ring tailed lemur.SOrry for the smalls updates recently
Very interesting creatures. I think you need to work on the digital stuff, it isn't nearly as strong as your drawings. Just find a nice style that fits them both I guess. I like the creeper designs, they all look very fast and menacing.
-Incredible... man i like your sketchbook so much. especially your comix scene very very enjoying for me... it is amazing. Again, great stuff, I look forward to seeing more & more!...
it's cool to see you're making all these concepts.
Just thought I'd stop by and say that you're progressing quite well
Keep it uP!!
Cool stuff man, good progress.
A few things i picked up - your creatures like in ure last coupple posts are pretty good, but i think cus ure limiting it to the form lines, they lack any real texture - they have good shapes, but try getting some scales and different skin types and patches of fur and stuff etc. Dont stick with one thing all over.
Id watch out for outlining aswell, try thinking of thick lines for shadowy sides or for bringing something forward (closer objects) not just all round the edges of shapes. Will help it not looking as flat.
Keep it up man, i think ure strongest point are ure gestures and poses - they look cool.
I differ with phatAndy. Due to the fact that these creatures are quick concepts to determine what the finished thing will look like, thereīs no need fer deeper rendering. Anyhow, one thing is true, the berserker and the creeper share very big similarities in skin texture and apperance. I figured theyīd be different varieties of the same species.
The last vers. of the creeper reminds me very much of Samael from Hellboy though. c.ya.
sorry, no updates, but had to reply
The berserker and the creeper ARE different varieties of the same alien species, one is the huge badass "slow-but-lethal-thought-bastard", and the other one is the "i-move-in-swarms-catch-me-if-you-can" variety.
As regards the rendering, Since these were the step just after the thumbnails, i din't go in to much detail since they could still change design.
About the outlines, well, i guess you guys are right, it should change.
BTW, i'm in learning phase in these days, watching dvds and trying to find some damn prismacolor pencils. Thanks for the comments Skeiff, PHATandy and bbwolf
@bbwolf: DAMN! SO THAT'S WHAT I HAD IN MIND!I just coudn't remember where inspiration comes from, hope it isn't too similar. Thanks for pointing that out anyway

Donīt be to hard on yerself. Happens to all of us. I think he biggest hints are the pose youīve drawn the creeper in (īcause Samael is usually in a crouching position) and then the two different sized eyes. Then the long tounge and "bingo". If youīd change the eyes (pupil especially) and go a bit back to the sideways jaws I think you can pull it off.
Whatīs a "learning phane" btw?
i meant "learning phase"
anyway, here's one of my unfortunately (for me, at least) increasingly rare updates.I ain't in much of a drawing mood these days.I'm going mad trying to do ANYTHING decent, and the heat here doesn't help.Trying out Maya 6 doesn't either, damn frustrating...
these are all quickies...
Yo, what r u learning?
nice sketches thou. The last with the huge dog is very cool for these temperatures. Glad to see you do sumthing @all. The skull thing with HOT carved into the forehead is way out.
Right now Iīm eternally gratefull fer the AC we got installed last week.
Lots of new stuff in here, I can see you've been much more dedicated about drawing than I have. No real major crits, the loose line work is still great, and the few that you've refined look pretty good too, I like the half lion guy. The swordfish guy is a little funky, I'd do some studies of underwater scenes if you want to take that further and the light doesn't seem to be reflecting properly. Otherwise, looking pretty good. Good luck with Maya, if you have any questions (that can be answered by text) let me know. Keep up the good work man.
the second creeper and the berzerker look good man, nicely done. Also diggin the red eyed guy, only his chest area seems to small/narrow compared to his abdomnial area on his left side, the waist it self seems a bit wide...

Keep filling the pages and good things well come <><> at least a line every day <> if you set down and start you never know where it will go.......
I like your creature designs. They're very unique and interesting. I would like to see some some of them colored, that would be neat.
All the creatures look wonderful to me... Definitely a very strong area for you. The computer shaded man seems to have painfully strong shadows and highlights but I can't think of critique on the other sketches.
I couldn't agree more with SanXavier about the colouring. Keep these flowing!
