Oks... so Ruzkin told me i should put stuff in here for feed back... and I was all... fearness coz people here are really good and draw really interesting things and lately I feel my art to be very boring... I mean... most of what I draw these days are cute little anthros.
So I guess now that I'm submitting here... I should prove I'm more than just furries and cute little comics. Get back to drawing some of the old cool stuff I used to do, with a wee bit of violence and some mecha type stuff.
anyways heres some stuff:
This ismy entry for Kraden's character redesign contest. I'm not keen on the royal blue and tan combination, everyone else has kept the royal blue but I ditched it in favour of natural colours. Besides, the first time I met him, he was wearing brown. Forgot to make his arms as fluffy as a proper anthro should be, I was using photo reference and was concentrating more on getting the arms drawn and shaded right to convey proper forshortening.
A digital painting that I never completed. Started by messing in my forms and what not on photoshop, then went into Open Canvas for more delicate painting, Only ended up doing the face to use as an avatar.
A portrait. Started off with rather light pencil, then went in with pencils to colour, then played a bit with water colour and ink.
'nother portrait, this time BW in open canvas.
Vector of a vacuum.... I choose really interesting subjects don't I?
Cold lifeless drawing care of me... needs shading and live variation. Not just cold accurate portrayal of forms and shapes... also I dont think shes drawn sitting on the same plane the bed is positioned.
Acryllic painting of a playstaion.
Tis me dad. Digital painting in OC.
Sketchy comic about uni life.
Animation of Mal doing some essplodin'
Eva Wannabe. Just to prove I can do this sorta stuff. those knees are crap.
And a concept design for wings based on those worn by the Hussars.
Errr.... thats more than enough...
(why does f a g e always turn into "mankmankeymakeye"?)

Crit for a Crit: My Online Sketchbook of Super Power Fun
love the updates, god i miss anime so much....I want to go back and have fiun
thx for commenting, the reason why all my works are so differant is because i can't stay consistend and i have no formula to which i stick to, lol
my true passion is capcom street fighter style of art......
i dont really have one style either, but id like to think all these different styles ive made my own in some way.
some digital painting to show that i can.
Mrrroooow, I didn't realise you'd started a sketchbook thread. Some of this I've seen before, some not, but it's all great.
My sketchbook Critical Feedback = Luv
Your work has always been inspiring to say the least, full of expression and just raw eye-candy.
And you would be the 16th person i've recognised from dA, noticed ruzkin thanks to the avatar you gave him.
I mean this in the most positive way possible, but you've inspired me into doing some of the more boring subjects for art. Stuff i need to practice but been purposely avoiding.
Otherwise, i have to say no critiques that you haven't spotted already, i'll try and point some more knowledgable guys in your direction though.
Looking forward to more updates. =D
Overall I dont personally like the mangastyle so much (favourite however is the kickass bunnygirl), but I see alot of comic-style potential in your more personal work. I like the Still-lifes to of cds, playstation and such. I also see you can do "regular" people, not just manga and comic characters - develop that more.
I say develop more on environment - interior/exteriors and also strive for more personal style, like the portrait of your dad (brilliant) and the girl that took of the shell thing.
And oh, the references to suicide worries me - stop that line of thought immediately!

I really like the style of your work. You seem to have a good grasp of colour. You seem to know how use colour to manipulate the mood of your work. I think that is why some of your “boring subjects” work so well. The picture of the vacuum was really nice, had a nice industrial look to it. Anyway keep up with the work. I would like to see some more figures if you have any lying around.
Something revolutionary is coming to the boards, my sketchbook coming soon
Okays, update to keep thinsg alive... been working hard for the past few weeks on stuff for the Artholes exhibition in Jan with Ruzkin. Coming along real well.
This is No Flowers, a collab with me and Ruzkin. This was the photoshop mockup, we've since managed to replicate almost perfectly on canvas with stencils. 2 or 3 months from first concept to finished piece. Tis very cool when up close, I'll post photos of it later.
Jinx and Gavin are two main characters in a story I've been working on (and off) for 5 or so years now. It keeps evolving, hopefully I'll be able to put it into comic form soon enough.
And I admit it, I luv my carebears.
I don't say anything new in here. You have grat, powerful, indestuctible style. I really want to have such drawing level as your. Great pics, with a lot of tasty humour on it. I don't really like Antho pics (they are great of course, but i just don't like anthro). You'da best.

Thanks a lot saise, I really should be showing the different things I can do but havent sat down to draw anything diffeent or scan old different things... eventually...
This is awesome stuff dire. I love that manga style of art. Watching you work make me try harder. Thank you for the comments. I'll be watching your SB. Keep postin.
Thank you very much, the positive comments make me want to try and maintain and improove my work.
last night i tried a self portrait in order to keep my realism in practice.
new drawing, nothing out of my comfort zone, but putting a bit more effort in than usual
Lots of good work, you seem very capable in a lot of mediums.
Love the portraits, especially the recent self portrait and the one of your dad. Both show a lot of character and emotion.
You seem to be doing a lot of work trying to prove you can, I don't think there is a need to be trying to prove anything about your work to anyone. Do what you like the way you like it and it will speak for itself.
Hey, great range of styles! To be honest the first pose you posted is the one that stands out the most to me. Great arms and hands in that one!
I love your style and the originality of your art. And using a vacuum cleaner as model is beyond me!
Oh, and I had to say that you look cute in that self-portrait.
Keep up the good work.

Good work. Especially on the smoke.
WHat tool did you use for the b&w ones ?
Anyway, keep posting! you got some really nice stuff.

the black and white ones? you mean the recent paintings with the red roses?
the larger piece is spray paint and acryllics and black house paint on ply wood
the second 2 are also sprays but on canvas with patterned paper.
Great stuff, dire. I love how many completely different styles you're capable of handling. I also like to draw in whatever random style I feel like drawing that day. The difference being you're excellent at whatever you're trying to pull off. Keep up the great work, I'll probably keep an eye on this SB.
Wow. Your stuff is great. You're great with color, as Vader said. Your furries are wonderful. It's a style I could never get the hang of. I'm gonna be watching this sketchbook, for sure.
thank you for the comments everyone, im certainly trying... maybe not branching out too far from my comfortzone... but very slowly i feel like im improving.
some excellent stuff here !
