Here are some speed paintings I did using cheap & nasty acrylic paints.
About 30 mins for each one.
Crit away you crazy dudes....
Cool. Real paint just has amazing texture that you can't get digitally. The 3rd is my favorite though they could all use a little bit more interest in the composition department. Fun stuff.
Yeah the texture is just awesome. Nice contrast on the second one Ireally like the limited stokes.
Awww, man!! Sorry about that. Yeah, thats gonna stain.
Based on the fact that it took you a half hour do do one of these each, I got nothing to say. What happens when you spend three days on one painting?!
An excellent use for cheap paints; just use 'em up. The first an third are great. I love the lava. The middle one I don't care for the use of fleshtone paint, but the light and shadow contrast is real good.

Ain't nothing nasty about them at all!
The look hot and that texture can't be duped digitally so why complain?
Freakin awesome man!!! I got nuthin...
You are a very kind bunch.
I'll definitly try and sort out more interesting compositions - that IS a weakness of mine.
These are nice little studies with good contrast & color. Are you showing these at actual size?
I have been doing something similar at my weekly life drawing group where I have been making little 20-minute studies in acrylic. At some point when I have some time I'll post some of them.
Photographing paintings can be a nightmare trying to eliminate glare that reflects off the ridges of brush strokes but yours came out great. Are these scans or did you use a camera?

But they look much brighter and nicer in real life. (Probably 'cause my scanner is wack)
Actual size? Nearly. A bit bigger in real life I think...
