Book of Words 1 / ZOMBIES

A cover for the book "l'enfant de la Prophétie", written by J.V. Jones and published by Calmann Levy for the french market.
Original title : Book of Words.


And some illustrations done 50/50 with my friend Benjamin "Ornicar" Carré for a game called ZOMBIES.
Like we've done sometimes in videogame production, we've doing this picture togeither.
This game is fun and not really horrific.
We've developped a lot of ideas : the board, the logotypes, the cards looking like Polaroid shots.
Benjamin even did the ortho for the small Zombies figures.

those are great!! I love the first and second one. The Zombies are so creepy, really! they creep the crap out of me, you did a great job! Are these all digital? the fire on the first guys is really done well, it doesn't look cheesy at all, which I appreciate. well no crits here, they look awesome!!

It would be really cool to go there with you and the CA crew. I think things have changed since the last time :p
A friend of mine went to Prague some weeks ago and came back with a lot of wonderful photos of the city, its architectures, its statues...

Dementist : YEs ! We've used some other little blinks and references to zombies movies.

LivingRope : I've already bothered you a thousand time before with this pics

DSillustration : Waterhouse was clearly an influence for this picture. Something I was looking for, in terms of feeling and kind of renderings.

poise : all digital with a lot of tricks.

csteingart : It was like a sort of "Jam" sharing our pictures, discussing about them and painting over the works of each other. Benjamin often saved my butt from bad taste with his wondeful ideas. He's a friend so we've got no problem to criticize each other works.

Wow, the first I've ever seen of your work and I must say: totally blown away. It's "crisp" and "gritty" all at the same time; and that's a very big plus for my tastes. I'm also a HUGE fan of Romero's "of the Dead" universe as well as "The Terminator".

Do you ever have time to exchange e-mails or check these forums very often, or is this something you've long since left behind?
