I haven't posted for a year or so...
But im making a brand new start with some crazy traditionals!
Please tell me what you think of them.
I love those pictures.
The second is really disturbing but it's good
The first immediately makes me thing to goya' saturn eating his son painting.
Kind of like a cross between Bacon and Jenny Saville. Gross, but very interesting.
all of them are beautifull light and colors are sooo good
, my favorite is the last one
nice man!!! keep postin pls
These are truly horrifying. The first two and the last one are my favorites. Do you paint any of this from life and distort what you see or do you use photographs and drawings for reference?
i like em - some of the blended forms remind me of some of Salvador Dalis work, which is cool - twisted....but cool :-)
"resistance is Futile!!!"
Wow those are awesome, especially the two first and last one are teriffic, would totally hang them on my walls...love your style!
Fighting for peace is like Fucking for virginity.
@WODZGN: i used on the first two and the last one oils, on the forth acrylics and on the third i used oils and acrylics. Only to find out that oil doesnt stick to acrylics when the acrylics are applied thickly. So in a couple of years there will be nothing left but a good pallete to mix paint on hehe.
@Walnut: Exactly! My two favorites.
@andyhunt&Nostradamus: Good to hear somebody does! Usually people people dont want to talk me anymore after seeing my work. Stupid fainthearted housewives.
@JJacks: i actually do both, but most is done with some ref as i dont have money to hire a model for a longer period. And sometimes i work from mind, but not to often because i usually fuck up, and the ctrl z button is hard to find when painting in real life
Love these paintings!
Gee man, that's so amazing, especially the last peace. For me it's amazing peace, sort of a mixture of Francis Bacon, Vrubel and Sargent. But there is you, of course, I just said my associations on your influences. I guess how awesome it is in live. Keep it up, I've subscribed this thread :-).
A little more surreal then Jenny Seville and Bacon, but can really see the influence, great work man, i love these
My Sketchbook - Comments and Crits always welcome -
Your work is so positively unique and original I am truly fascinated and disgusted by it all at once. I think its really great and I am very impressed at the way each piece has been rendered. Well done!
Thank you all!
@RETEP: The first two and last one are more recent indeed. I have gone through a whole lot of styles and methods to find the one that suits me and my work. Still havent found it, but i'm coming closer!
@tokszmogus: I didn't know Vrubel. Going to look into him rght away, thanks!
I really like the brush strokes in the first two. Love that loose, painterly feel.
really good stuff, 2 and 5 are fav.
loving these paintings, sick sick style
