Hey everybody, I believe I must have some Phobia against finishing a full piece. Out of everything I have sketched and came up with, this piece is the closest i have ever come to finishing something. I was working on this for close to a week now, mainly deciding on what to place on the branch. I came up with this little guy, not sure how well he fits the scene. I believe I really need to work on the overall concepting of the idea before I jump in head first, I find myself getting lost and frustrated with the creating of such a little character. Something I'll have to work on. Anywho, please have a look and let me know your thoughts, comments, crit.
I love it!
The compsition and placement of everything works so well. Transition from dark to light is pulled off in a convincing way and the look of the character works really well.
If anything, I would suggest maybe placing something within the background, but something faint. I would hate for the character to lose focus from everything around him. Maybe some faint fire flys perhaps?
Great work though, keep em coming.

wow, thank you for such kind words, I am glad you like it. Ya I agree that the background in the distance could use a slight something or other. There must have been some slight luck compositionally then, because I didn't think I thought about it as much as i should have, I guess I can use this as an example for other works then lol. thanks again.
