Hello all. It's been a long while since I've last posted (punch me about that btw), but I actually have something I want to share and it's a bit out of the norm.
This is a project I made for the Reduser 4k Portrait Competition and was selected as a finalist and shown at NAB 2012.
The project itself represents a week of work. 1 day of pre-production, 3 days of shooting, and 3 days of post work. All completed in 4k with visual effect for 4k DCP cinema delivery with a crew of one, me.
A lot of effort went into creating this. A great deal of hustle. Here's a little of the behind the scenes of what took place to get this thing done.

Hope you enjoyed the short. It took a lot to get it done by the deadline, but it was a hell of an adventure.

That is pretty freaking fantastic Phil your like the master "Jack of trades" in the art world... Thanks for sharing
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd
You are a talented beast! Very nice.
I loved the locations at the beginning of the short. Some minor critiques is that I felt the actress' hands were too clean, there was no dirt under her fingernails. Her shoes looked polished when she went inside, and not dusty as one expects.
The alien designs were EXTREMELY compelling. Really an interesting way to design outside of the box.
Ps. I am loving the photography on your site. I am also listening to your music. You are far from short on talent, it is intimidating.

@Pavel - I did put a bit of dirt on her face, clothes, and arms. I agree that her hands were too clean though. The boots were supposed to be "found mens boots" and they were pretty scuffed up, but still had that shine to them. There is a big hole on one side though. Under the time constraints I had there were certain things that I had to let go of and not be picky about, but those boots always bugged me.
Glad you like my site!
awesome to see you do this, looking forward to more!!
looks really coool!
Fantastiv work, I can hardly believe it was all made be one man. Great job
