Why is there white paint unevenly slapped over everything? Why is one of the white squares suddenly grey? Did you have a reference or model for this? The perspective is off and the chess pieces don't look the same despite apparently both being pawns.
The subject matter is sort of interesting. I agree with TinyBird on most of the above. I think you could have found a better point of view if you'd done a bit more planning. Remember to vary the saturation of pigment as you make your paintings. Right now everything is equally washed out which is not how our eye normally sees something. You should have a few areas that really pop with color or pigment. Good luck !
