@Mewball - Thanks
Today I worked on unfinished portrait from last month. Calling it done
Studies for current CHOW (centaur warrior)
More timed sketches. I do shorter ones too (30 sec, 1 min), but they are not where I want them to be yet
Aaand study for today.
wow. nice tempo you got going man.
do you have a source for references? or are you just searching the web. i'd like to have a good website for human anatomy.
@lupre - Sure thing, here are some links I use (the ones with asteriks are my favorite):
Here is portrait for today
hey thanks man! i'll try to kick some off right now.
the portrait of this lady is beautiful. you really got this sexy facial expression =) her lips are gorgeous.
it's hard to believe, that this is done digitally. it looks so much like a sketchy oil painting. you're working a lot with the different papers in painter i guess.
how long did it take you?
@lupre : that is one layer one brush in photoshop, done in cca 3 hours. And before you ask, here is link to that brush What the hell? Cghub is censored here? cghub dot com /scripts/view/147/
@kevin : thanks! I will do my best

hehehehe I know so many of these poses from pixel lovely. Good job. I'm glad the suggestions I made earlier helped even if only a little.
What is this centaur you're working on? For the drawings of your own creation out of whole cloth perhaps another suggestion.
Thumbnails. Lots and lots of thumbnails. It helps work out ideas and such. You can do them digitally or traditionally and it'll help you block in stuff the way you want it. Then you just build it up out of shapes the same way you do a figure.
If you're wish my blog and thus portfolio are available for comment. I can always use critique.
Also, my concept art sketchbook can be found here

here is my first message is for you ^ ^
I love your studies and thank you for the links above
by cons, the link for the brush is broken apparently, if you could be replaced, that would be cool ... ^ ^
@Aaron_Radney - heh yea, I think every today's selftaught artist know these pictures; they are everywhere . And unfortunately i dont know if I do this chow at all, because i did nothing yet and deadline is close :/
@Mam'suh - thanks for comment and I will be glad hearing from you again (i "repaired" that link btw.)
study for today
hey nice stuff man! love all the studies! especially that top one! very nice work put into that one, it shows! thanks for stopping by my thread dude! keep it up!
@NickyBeats - thanks!
another morning, another studies
@White0head - You dont even have sketchbook here. Nobody is going to spoonfed art experience to you so start working first, and after that you can ask for something.
For today/yesterday just this quickie.
More timed sketches
yo! nice studies again. thanks for the brushes man! they are really nice. always looking for brushes with textures. for me the hard round brush with opacity-pressure is for the foundation of the image, and only at the middle of the process i use textures. have no perfect workflow yet =)
btw. i did some color-sketches with the opaque round brush. it's really a nice task, as you have to look very close. also the links you gave me are nice. sometimes i get very stressed when only one or two minutes for capturing a gesture, and i make mistakes, on the other hand, if i manage to be concentrated i really manage to break the form down in the basics and manage to gradually built the thing. nevertheless i really have a hard time to paint in planes. i always have a pre-sketch, to maintain correct perspektive, which i then fill afterwards.
@lupre - thanks, gestures get better with practice. You can see my horrible drawings at first page
Study from today (still wip.)
The way you use shadows and paint your figures is gorgeous! And your figure drawings are amazing
@nixe_dreamer - Thanks! I am trying
Here is more work on the portrait and initial sketches for current chow ( I will do it this time!!! )
hey.. i can't display your last two posts. hmm. something similar happened with one of my posts recently, maybe it has to do something with concept art changing servers.
keep it up
i wonder what that two posts looked look like.
@lupre - yeah whole ca.org is pretty messy until they finish migration to new system and squish remaining bugs. I will upload more stuff later in the week when it will be back to normal hopefuly
for now this turtle!
