How long did it take to render?
Ok others are already saying this but this sketchbook is hot! Those colours: damn! And that fox? Holy crap
The whole thing's been about 4 hours and I think it was like 2.5 till that point? I started work at almost 10 and was in bed before 1.
Sigh, she's so pretty.
These are my colored pencils ( I still wanted to take photos when I was done shooting my sketchbook). Mostly faber caster with a lot of prisma color and a few Berol and Laurentian..
I. Want. That tablet! lol gosh darn you're so lucky!
lol anyways uh good work! it was nice to see the process 'o how you made that creepy flower eating girl who's also drowning. you've got what im missing when it comes to digital painting.
Nice sketchbook! I particularly like the first color pencil sketch in post 35. Keep up the good work!
Hiya MoKhi...even if you think it's lacklustre work at least your still sketching and posting regularly
For example I really like the flowery dress on the far right of post #41 I love how you use colour. The mermaid is really pretty too I prefer her colouring from your original sketch, or maybe if you add some textures and more blue? Her eyes and nose are really cool! I kinda want to see her arms and tail longer and thinner though, almost like she could be swept away by a sudden current.
Great style as always, see you round.
I really like your sketchbook. I think your use of color is unique and very attractive and your sketches carry a nice expressive quality. I particularly like the faces that you draw.
wow! the noseless lady and the girl look great! I actually saved those pictures as refence, I wanna be able to draw in that style someday. good job man.
I actually feel like you are great at painting digitially but I feel like your level of technical skills is very inconsistent. Your digital painting work looks great but some of your drawings seem a little off to me. Like the faces aren't necessarily drawn as well or the proportions on your figures are off a bit. It's just minor things here and there that actually make a difference. I'm curious to see more.
Thanks Istmin. I make a lot of corrections when I'm painting, but I draw only in pen so I can never fix mistakes. I should pay more attention to my sketches. I've fallen into the trap of only viewing them as an way to get to a good painting. I appreciate the reminder.
I feel like this background is really lackluster. But I just couldn't think of what to do with it. Still waiting to hear back from the client.
Finally! A working scanner! I'm so happy -Sniff-
Maybe you can add some texture to the gray background. It doesn't have to be much. It can be something subtle but it would look a bit more interesting than just leaving it gray. It's looking good though.
Hey there, we're having 'same monitors, lol
Seems like you have the style, good enough for children's books illustrations. I had to make one like this a month ago, came out pretty scary. So good work!
Istmin: Yeah, I should try that out. Maybe a wood grain. Thanks.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Here are some figure paintings. They all had weird restrictions on them, the first two are only 2 colors, the next is only making 1 stroke every 10 seconds, the next is only using 1 small round brush.
The las is a plant painting that I'm doing on my own time. about 8 min each and the last one is 40. It was a very exhausting class.
He just got finished eating lime wire.
Figure painting based on a blind contour drawing. We weren't allowed to change any of the lines. I think this is hilarious. I can't get enough of painting it.
Some illustration homework. Planning for a set of illustrations based around Tarique and possibly some comic pages.
RATED. SUBSCRIBED. :]
Very interestingly beautiful sketchbook/style you got goin' on here. Lovin' the way you develop your characters

I really like your painting. I think your color choice and your good technique is bringing something real to a drawing with such strange abnormalities. I just think it's cool.
I had a dinner party today. Unrelated, but fun. I'm getting ready for a set of illustrations for class and having trouble getting scenes together. Also trying to decide on my next painting.
Elbow: Buuuut baaaaby. You can never be too sick for updates.
Jacks: Thanks. It's actually a very interesting exercise for looking at skin tones.
