duuuude ixius~ i think i'm in love with your art.... :U your figures are so dynamic and expressive and very well executed with your line work ^^ definitely going to watch your sketchbook! also, you said you're having troubles rendering in color-- but it looks like you're getting the hang of it fast! 5 stars for awesomeness! also, love the jana+hannes approach with the multi-limb studies~
This sketchbook is fabulous.
Nuno: thanks a lot!

Ok, sorry I havent update the past 2 days, I had school projects and stayed up for like 2 days straight so I was burnt out. With the upcoming break I hope to draw like CRAZY, so I'll update a lot more!
All the images are from today's figure drawing session, tried to focus on contour like I usually do. Gestures are first and then some 20 min. poses. Excuse the smears and stuff please, I had just finished working with pastels.
Thanks for looking!!!
Hmm...for some reason my sb didn't bump...so bump
Great stuff man. Keep up the good work.
Your lines are to die for! So dynamic and precise. I'll definitely visit your SB in the future.
5 stars to you, sir!

Spaggen: thanks SO much for the kind words and the rating, greatly appreciated!
D.C.: thanks a lot!
Alright, I wasn't feeling very creative this night, so I reverted to my usual drawings, really messy this time and not my best work, but I might as well post it . Tomorrow's going to be so busy with all the work I gotta do, so I just unwinded tonight I suppose. Three pages with some figures from photo ref, and hands, from life. I need to work on feet...
Thanks for looking!!!
ahhahah i think he is already ;D
Great Osiris's member, your anatomy work is wonderful. You have a knowledge of the body overall that I am lacking at the moment. It's all very fluid and confident.
I suddenly want to do more studies.
Man, I know you keep hearing this but your lines are so nice. Really awesome to look at, and make me realize how much mine suck, hah.
Your paintings are coming along great too.... maaaaaaan I need to study.
Looking forward to more. Subscribed XD
PS: How do you approach your linework? I get the impression you kind of have longer flowing lines rather than repeatedly or rapidly lifting your pencil off the paper and going back? Do you draw out the entire line with one stroke and just do another stroke if the first one wasn't right? Do you lightly gesture the whole figure out first then going into your more defined lines, or do you just skip the gesture and go straight out into the lines? Just trying to figure out how you think about them and approach them to get the look you do. Thanks.

I love the rhythm and line quality of your gestures. Those sketchbook pages look fantastic. I really like the contours.
Oh, and in post #114, the very last image with the guy in the striped shirt. This drawing so just freaking cool. It's awesome how there are really subtle value changes, but then you define things very sharply with a line right where you need it. It has an interesting composition with lots of action and a dark mood, which is also expressed in the hand.
Nice, inspiring work, man!
Here's my sketchbook!
Damn, so great flowing life drawing work.
Looking forward to seeing more and wishing we had classes up here (small town blues)
my sketches here... http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92997
www.sevans.co.nz , visit them or a puppy dies!
walnut: haha I guess I say thanks?!
Texahol: Thanks! and yeah I know I need to do more finished work....but I think I'm addicted to sketching
hücumkedi: no don't die!
SEVANS: Thanks a lot! Yeah when I went to my last college it was a really small town and there were like no life classes except for one on Wednesday, go to the mall or something and draw people, that's way more valuable (at least to me it was), IMO
wilkerson: thanks man, I really appreciate that.
Blizzard5291: Thank you! I need to do more work like that last one haha
Untouched24: Thanks about the linework compliment! And as for my process, I basically sketch out the figure very lightly to get proportions right, then go back in describing lines like you would in a blind contour, except I look at the page a lot to make sure I'm not screwing it up! I used to do short sketchy lines but then I read the book "Force: Life Drawing for Animators" and that really inspired me to gain line confidence
Quigleyer: thanks! and yeah lets all do more studies!
DefiledVisions: Thanks man! I'll try to be as fluffy as possible?
Jasper_: thanks a lot bro, as for Chad's piece.....I'll probably get that done last minute as usual
Alright, a meager update, staying at home for Christmas break means seeing family and such, but I tried some faces while at a friends house, and realized how much I suck at them, so I did some nose and eye studies to compensate, no really sure if that helped, but I guess some progress is better than none at all!
I've also been trying to get into ZBrush lately, got a intro video kit to it so I did some stuff with that, nothing worth posting though 3D Is a whole other world!!!
Thanks for looking!
Dude I've been waiting for an update from you this break haha, really dig all of those studies. I just realized yesterday that I suck at faces as well...so this is a nice reminder of what I should be doing.
geesus!, these studies are amazeballs!
