In a surge of bravery I decided to stop lurking and start posting. Well you know. My work. Instead of mindless blabber in other subforums while hiding in cowardice from this one.
So where to start...
I currently go to The Animation Workshop in Denmark on the CG line. We study Maya and 3D awesomeness along with concept work and design. And there's life drawing after school in the evening. So this sketchbook of mine will be a little bit of everything.
But less talk, I should show pix or GTFO.
Most of this is random Sketchbook stuff from my imagination. Will post more life drawings when I'm not afraid of them.
This one is from a reference image I found on Deviantart.
More random sketchbook stuff:
From life drawing, very quick sketches. Probably around 1 minute each. My linework is pretty awful, all scribbly. I have a hard time keeping up with the model, I'm slooooooowwwwwww... Made with a pen, as I can't discipline myself to keep away from the eraser when using pencil.
This one is actually an environment painting I made for my portfolio to get into The Animation Workshop:
YEAH. My bravery juices are ebbing away now, so I'm pressing submit. I'd love any tips, critiques and helpful advice! I'm ready! Bring it!
I just posted in your discussion thread on whether or not you know when your art is "finished": this led me here. It looks like you are working towards that goal, and I am sure that it will "click" for you-you are well on the way. As far as courage, I'm glad you started your SB, but you don't need to worry. You are an artist: you belong here.
