I found a way!
Glad you got it figured out. I'd suggest to start working on your form first before you get heavy with shading. Grab some anatomy books and start drawing everything in them. If you can learn the muscle structure under everything then you will really see a big leap forward with everything else. Keep posting! I look forward to seeing your progress.
Thank you! I actually have some anatomy books, I'll be using them more now
I'm so sorry I haven't posted anything up in a while, my scanner has been glitching for a while now, but I have it working, this is a concept sketch for one of the characters I'm making for a concept game, for my portfolio
The poor woman's creator decreed that she would forever be in a pose where her fist would be covering her face. And that's very sad.
Do some anatomy studies; build up a sort of working library in your head of the human body. Andrew Loomis' figure drawing books can be found online, and I suggest you take a look at those. Draw from anatomy books/photos/life and you'll see yourself getting a lot better.
I'll definitely be practicing faces now, thanks
I've been away for a while, but in my time away from concept art, I got a wacom pen tablet for Christmas. And I used this program known as Alchemy to do this latest sketch, and yes the mirror function was on but i have been practicing nearly non stop since the last post.
I need to learn how to draw feathers, but first more practicing
Here's one of my latest and by latest I mean about a week or two ago, did this on alchemy its a pretty good program
You should definitely start studying anatomy and start drawing from life. They have the largest positive effect that I've seen. Other then that it seems like you have some creativity in your artwork which is good. I expect to see some studies in your next couple posts
I'm gonna put something up tomorrow definitely! been neglecting my sketchbook, ill put some studies up thanks forrest
Some new stuff, been practicing more anatomy so my posing has improved but still learning all the muscles and such. I need more work on hands, feet and head/faces
Its been a while since I uploaded and that fault lies with myself, so here's some of the stuff I have done lately
