Well I decided to just do arm muscle studies. Really want to get a better grasp in this stuff so that when I am doing life drawings, or looking at the human figure I'll know what the anatomy's really doing instead of faking it in.

just stage one of my new still life. Was experimenting, didnt really draw out the lines, mostly blocked in the shapes and went from there to color. ahh looks shitty right now to me. Was trying to get a liquid, a metal and plastic surfaces. Learned a few things for sure. gonna work it more tomorrow.

@cl0aked: i agree, dave has an awesome playlist! D:<

anyways, here is just some small progress on my still life, worked on it somewhat after work (6:30 PM), but i realized my light source changes over time since i normally work on this at 6 AM so i stopped and worked on some personal stuff instead xD

Wow, there's so much good stuff in here I don't know where to look.

So after studying still life and masters the last few days I decided to try one from my head using the information I picked up. I didn't want to get too detailed so kind of half-assed the clothes, also the focal point is off but I had fun. Probably should have highlighted more and included the rim lighting or something but it was an out of control sketch from the beginning.

Progress!

I like to listen to a little Kills before studying. Get yourself a sneer like Alison and hurt that canvas.

So is the crimson daggers a place to show studies? and help oneanother with em? For the sake of kicking some ass? Good work in here though.
I bet Dave is building an army of some sort in here.

Hey guys! The improvement this week has been huge, it's been great fun working alongside you lot :3

I did a self portrait the other night, from my reflection in my Nintendo xD The facial anatomy studies I've been doing really helped me, and life paintings have done my brushwork a favour I think. Bad quality image again, so sorry. My computer is playin up so I'm still using dad's. Agh.

Most of my anatomy studies are on paper, and the scanner hates me. I'll see what I can do about posting them though.

I did the three progressive construction figures in about the first half our, and then moved onto a back view surface drawing of the male figure from page 51. I felt challenged by the little owl instructor in the corner! I dug drawing the triceps and the arm from behind. I think the legs could be a little longer too, but that's for next time.

Hopefully I'll be doing more still lifes over the next few days. I need to solve my lighting situation today and be ready for tomorrow morning.

Do you guys ever have those days where every line you put down is worse than the last line you drew?
I had 1 of those days yesterday, that's why I didn't post anything. I did try but nothing worth showing

Anyway, what do you guys do on days like those?

Keep on workin, nothing wrong with failure! Just push through it! I used to ask the same question... The only response was to just keep on going no matter what!

I'm gonna be shiftin' things about so I actually have space more or less in front of me to set up a still life that can stay put! stuff on top of draped cloth + grabby baby = stuff an the floor :/ gonna go try again! Daggeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrs!

Last week i decided to learn to draw with right hand (why - you can read in my thread). On paper, i allready get used to right hand very good so i decided to try digitaly.
It was..... pain in the ass... much more difficult than on paper. I usually don't give up, this time i did.
I'll keep practising with right hand on paper and in month or two, i'll start doodle digitaly too.

Here is unfinished sh**
