damn. I love your sketchs, and the color sketches
Check out my sketchbook
Man these sketches are good - very jealous of how creative you seem to be! I struggle from the fact that I'm a dedicated studyer of the basics so my SB is boooooring as hell to look through. Definitely going to try and take a leaf out of your book and do some more experimental stuff! I like the bust, study in the last post identifying the planes of the torso
The top creature made me laugh too - great work!
marc_redd - Thank you very much
ThomasM - Thank you! I didn't think your sketchbook was boring at all
Chr. Steam - Thanks man :]

Am I going in the right direction? I need schooling so badly, I can't wait for some college classes..
First of all it's nice to see creativity and just pure joy for drawing. Keep that close always, draw for the sake of drawing. From the start realize what your passion for art is and hold on tight to it, never lose that love of art.
Second have fun with these drawing, don't just do studies to improve. Take some time, 2-3 hours and do a piece to test your own limits. Sure it might not be the most amazing thing at first, but finish work and it'll really pay off
Thirdly, Quality over quantity. When you do studies, do them to UNDERSTAND. Don't think in terms of line but instead think in terms of form and shape. 3d shapes, sphere, boxes, break the figure down into that stuff and remember. Ask yourself why there is shadow here and not there. Spend 3 hours studying bridgeman and loomis and then spend another 2 hours applying what you learn in a character from imagination
Best of luck with the journey and feel free to ask for help
The life drawings seem good(Not knowledgable enough to know) but you cartoony work from imagination seems hella flat for someone who has such shapely sketches. Have you considered throwing down some construction shapes to work off of? If you could get the "flatness" out of them, I think they would be pretty sweet.
My name isn't Mike. I might drink.
Hey man, thanks for dropping by! Definitely love to see so many sketches, but just from what I've been through, try to focus more on the drawing subject itself, after I started to draw slowly and understand what each line represents, my quick 'poodles' started to come together a lot more. You're on the right track and keep at it man! Hope that helps lol...I've never given drawing advice before
lilnebo - First off, thank you so much for spending the time to leave such a long comment. I have just printed off a bunch of Bridgman to help with my construction :] Very much appreciate your critiques
Mike Never Drinks - Thank you, I am going to start working on my construction :]
Lang Oulk - Thanks for your first bit of advice I will start to slow down. On my studies I usually go at them slowly, but my imagination I just throw it at the paper..So that may be where my main issue lies.
Nice to see you progress and have at the same time - best of both worlds.
It seems like everybody always mentions the things that I was planning to mention. I mean, really, everything from post #135 onward gets a "Seconded!" motion from me. I won't add any more until I've seen some new work!
what up man, im just going to repeat what everybody said but.. it looks like you have a great passion for what you do, and you draw whatever comes to your mind, and thats awesome.. i have to confess that i kinda lost it in the last couple years.. ):
but i think you're on the right path, you just have to mix your ideas with some studies of the masters and some figure drawings i think, and you will improve a lot!
Black Spot - Thank you ma'am :]]]
furiana - Thanks for the 'seconded' lol
ricpolisel - You really should try to recapture that man! Thank you for the comment, hearing a repeat of what others say just helps me believe them lol
Some Bridgman studies and then an unfinished sketch from imagination trying to use what I am learning

Hey man, beautiful studies! The lines are so smooth . Regarding the imagination, from what I found was that I couldn't draw from imagination for shit, but as soon as i started doing those studies, things came to me a lot easier. Keep up the great work man, can't wait to see more!
Really not pleased with how this imagination is coming along so I will most likely just start a new one and forget about this one. Especially because the head and neck area is just so wrong
Lang Oulk - Thanks for the subscription man! And just these few studies helped me understand A LOT better
hücumkedi - Thank you :] I will keep at it
HAJiME - Thanks, I'll take the 'unusual' as a compliment
Here are just some randoms that are a bit older..
nice style u got
There is some genuine improvement happing here, good work!
One thing that helps me understand anatomy books is after copying from the book, to study from ref as well as trying it from imagination.
George is a dude, but can be confusing sometimes
Aragah - Thank you
adamsimons - Thank you for the tip :]
