Been drawing for some years now, but just recently took up digital painting seriously. I love comics, animations and games as art and love seeing and learning from different kinds of styles out there.
I have a great motivation for learning at the moment, because I'm hoping to be a professional illustrator, concept artist or a game artist in one of these days. Made this sketchbook to get opinions for my stuff. Any criticism or chatter is welcome here. Thanks!

Hey there! Very neat stuff. You've got a really good eye for volume as your life drawings show, and also a healthy, busy imagination My only critique would be to work a bit more on the pelvis since the position of the legs seems a bit wrong in all your imagination stuff (santa's shop manager looks very good but i'm nitpicky as hell), especially the knight. They're perfect in your life drawings though.
Shoulder to the wheel, my friend!
My sketchbook - Harsh critique always welcome!
Hey dude, cool sketchbook so far. I really like the figure studies in post #3. I also really enjoy the expressive poses of and creative designs your characters have.
For a crit, I think you should work on feet a bit. It kinda looks like you were avoiding them in your figure studies, and I think they're a weak point in a few of your creative images. In the kickgirl piece for example, the front foot likes nice but the back one doesn't really make sense in how it's angled from the leg or in terms of how it's connecting with the ground plane.
Anyway, keep up the good work, and keep posting! I hope you continue with your WIPs, especially the bottom middle image of your last post; that character looks really intriguing so far.

I actually quite like the color palette - I love how the yellow/orange elements stand out against the blue and green of the overall image. Just keep in mind that those orange areas are going to draw the eye because they're the odd ones out - they stand out because they're different.
I must admit though that I'm a little confused by the narrative. It looks she's maybe running away and pulling her top off while her panties are falling down and her glasses are flying off. I'm just not sure why she's doing this or what she's looking at. I'm probably misunderstanding the image, but I think some decisive action by the figure could really help pull the piece together and make it feel like it has a purpose. Just my 2 cents ofc ^^
Btw great work on the feet in your previous post, and good luck with your thesis!
Oh, I see. I thought it was all one outfit. Maybe making the civilian clothes more drab and ordinary would help make it more obvious. If you look at images of Superman changing, he's always pulling off this grey boring suit to reveal the colorful spandex underneath - I think that contrast really helps communicate his actions. And yeah, I think a more determined expression would really help too.
Here's my contribution to Lightning returns competition on DA. I'm pretty happy with the results. There was a loooot entries and some really good ones.
And Then Hartsitikru's crazy figure collection vol2 ;D 15 to 5 min studies. Last figure collection was to study value, but this time I concentrated on the figure and getting the legs in the picture. I seem to be changing my style all the time so it takes time to get used to them, but I really like that. Trying new stuff gives me motivation.
