Nice stylisation (sp?) going on. Going to look cool once slapped together with those fun characters moving about that world. Keep experimenting! Coloring on the 1951's-pic shows progress. Looking good. I'm not so sure about that on the purple one, but hey it's a sketch. The character in red has the best feel to it.
On the coloring subject: you might wanna take a look at the Practical light and color dvd from g.n.o.m.o.n. That's just a treasure trove of information. It helps to form your own point of view as it's suggesting to look very closely to the things around you. How light affects the color and so on. Might be stating the obvious, but the information is so true and you keep getting back at it every once in a while.

edit: moderator: can't I say G-n-o-m-o-n ?

This is fangly, he is a one dimentional character... like skeletor.
3How I often feel about god.
this is some stuff from today
You've got some great digital work in here, and the animations on the first page are pretty sweet. Any more you're going to post, and what did you use to make them?
The posts on the second page show a lot of variety. Thanks for the comment, I'll be watching now, so keeeeep on posting!
been working mostly in my physical sketchbook and my camera is missing... Im sure it will turn up.
[I got yer link from the animation section]
-This last char looks adorable.
-pink drunk is funny.
-the whole #36 are sweet blocks.
-i would love to see #24s progression. Studio 4įC'esque.
[In my tired eyes anyway]
oh man, good stuff.
[Have you got a blog or website fer your animation works or what what???]
Quite original. Love your style. Incredible works.
nice figurative work, i also like the backdrop for animation on page one. The character concept on your last post, is that 3d?
Got out of college, moved from Pennsylvania USA to Victoria Australia. Ive been drawing in physical mediums pretty much non-stop. I just need to bring it all into the wired.
It will be nice to be part of a dialog again. Monologuing has been a bit tedious.
Yeah that character was 3d.
Your sketches are so liberating to look at. So raw, and energetic. You're my new hero.
If you have the time, please stop by my sketchbook, Chock Full o'Nuts.
I would appreciate any advice or critiques.
Sometimes life gets kind of complicated
Mr. Spect: Your post haunted me.... I'm back now. Thanks!
Dwardo: No I don't have my animations available except for very old very embarrassing stuff.
DK:Thanks, Your work is pretty slick, so it means a lot.
HugeHarHar: Thanks man, your work is fucking unbelievable so again, it means a lot!
This is a self portrait. I think I like it with the line better.
I think I am going to flesh that mask thing out into a full narrative. This would probably be the first bit, or close to it.
Grandmaster: I think its because the face is made up of more delicate linework, which when competing with neon pink, needs a little help to bounce back to center. Also the move went extremely well. Melbourne is pretty much the bees knees.

oh symbolism! you card.
Ugh my bandwidth has been cut down
Im moving back and fourth between two comps for the first page after the prologue, which will consist of some of those bald images and a bunch of abstract chaos. Then I want to build the story up to that point. Starting from here.
Anyways... seth is a real person and I was thinking of using this in the first bit its something he wrote that sticks with me.
Elegy for quiche in June
In the northwest corner of Pennsylvania, south
of lake Erie, my bedroom sits elevated and small,
its windows ten feet from the ground and painted
shut. Sometimes, I leave my door open, to air it, so
itís not quite as stuffy. Sometimes I look
to my dresser, and beside my motherís image
stands cousin Sicily Rae, who lives
in Austin. I can see my reflection in her
hair, glossed over. I think she looks
like my motherís sisterís daughter. Weíve never
met and, on my nightstand, sheíll never look
less real or even different. Or any more
like Sicily Rae now, who is no longer a little girl.
I have so many memories of June bugs
in summer, when I would see just how many
I could catch. Always walled into a shell,
black and feeling with antennae against my
hands. Holding onto one a short while, Iíd let her
go when she pushed just so at the creases
between my fingers. I found one dead in my room
once, legs stiff like knitting needles
poking from my motherís tote. I thought it funny
how she loved to make me quiche: spinach and
tomato patched together like a quilt. It was her
motherís recipe; she hoped I would make it too.
But I was never any good at baking. It seems
so long ago, I canít remember the ingredients.
I had to fix it before bed.
4 hours till work... woo!
crazy stuff you got here man. Can't wait to see future stuff.
I wouldn't mind seeing some of your more fine art stuff, (by that i mean anatomy studies, realism, etc.)
Thanks for commenting before. Not to sure if thats it, will have to wait and see what he says about it, but it looks to be that way.

BUY MY SHIRTS PLEASE - They're awesome.
Bat, long time no see! You are defying the laws of gravity in here, although I wonder sometimes, what was said, you are come along with a style. Wonder what you would do with a bit of observation. Enjoyed your comments at the "animation" threads. Of course they are still debating the 'porn' thing! Whoosh! Bloosh!
I do all my observational work in physical sketchbooks. When I get home with my wacom I like to play. Ill post up some physical stuff when my camera arrives in september.
so Im working on flash stuff.
Er... programming is time consuming. But hopefully it will end up leading to some more interesting posts in the near future.
anyways this is something that happened in flash when I got distracted.
fine.... I posted something from "observation"
UGH I used a photo...I feel so dirty.
