Every cover of yours I happen upon, I immediately want to pick up the book and investigate. You really have a lock on the fundamental principles of book cover painting. Kudos.

Beautiful painting Eric. What I particularly like is the play between the distances that the two hands make between each other and the head in depth whilst keeping everything pressed to the surface as a 2D design at the same time. I also like how you are using the texture created by your painstaking gazing technique to keep all the forms in the same 'air' of the picture - everything is shimmering in the same ether so that the 'background' isn't just a backdrop but a substance that commands equal favour with the centre stage forms. Everything is 'talking' to everything else, each area scratching the back of the one next to it throughout the entire work with nothing redundant.
I also like the way your elongations have avoided the melodrama that I felt was a little too strong in the 'wire' picture you posted a couple of months back. Marvelous stuff!

One of your best for sure.

Maybe a cast shadow from the necklace (the strap has one)?

can you believe i needed 5 minutes to realize wc paper stand for watercolor paper and not toilet paper?
then again, image how cool it would be to have this painting made on a piece of toilet paper.

Pure poetry. My eyes keep following this cycle of face-elbow & knees-hands-dress, then I follow the rim of the skirt to the moon which points me back to her face. At the same time my eye keeps circling that dark hand that pops off that bright-light dress.
