Hey guys, here is some stuff, all old: but i will be making new stuff as much as possible! I am ALWAYS looking for constructive crits so please chip and help me improve!
And this was a project I did for Diesel Kids (working hard to give those kids some brand loyalty... i'm not proud, but it was fun
and this is a project I have been undertaking (big shout out to Alex Jupp who was my cake-consuming wingman during the opening stages of the process... he knows no limits!)
I've got some more stuff from my new job in amsterdam but i can't show it yet... will get it up asap!

Woah, your robots are awesome.
I saw that sniping MC at Bungie's website a couple years ago, nice.
yey! im on a roll now! new painting done
took about 3-4 hours
your robots rocks man!
why do you paint only asian chicks with those robots?
is it for style... or you just like it ?
sorry for stupid question...
Takmask... yeh my Bungie fanboy days are coming to a close now lol... but its nice you recognise it
Ekler: haha. its a pattern i hadn't actually recognised, but yes, it seems i have a thing for asian girls in my images... just seems natural that an attractive asian chick would be piloting / maintaining a giant mech! Its the natural order there will be more
Gonna work on a portrait today in my lunchbreak
Dude that one with the robot and the girl holding each other. And that fire is buring in the background is awsome .It has a lot of soul and real fear in that picture that one made me feel sorry for them thanks for the posts
not a sketch, but a design that i want some feedback on... please help!
its a blockout stage concept car that i did in my lunch hour at work and a little time this evening....
what you like, what you dont like.... please help! i will be painting over and making high poly model.... please help me shape this... i hate making design decisions, im always torn between potential ideas...
let me know so i can do some nice paintover concepts...!
Nice dude. You got 5 stars from me. Give us more.
Yeah. Same here. I also gave you 5 stars.
Those robot models are totally totally amazing. The hands are so detailed yet still seemed balanced. Awesome start to your sketchbook!!!
wow that comic and all that 3d stuff was so cool to look at.
actually one my favourite piece was actually the f-15 or whatever from the back? looking at the afterburners behind it and your painting really felt ..like there were heatwaves coming from it and all.
good stuff ;D
Holy shite! This is one great big dump of awesome.. your mecha is just outta sight, I am awed at the amazing and original designs you've come up with.. plus everyone knows that wicked mecha are just that much cooler when they're piloted by hot women...
great stuff man! that diesel-project is great and your concepts are awesome. gotta push my own concepts even more!! - looking forward to your next post :o
Hi MikeyH, I know what you mean when you say it's hard to chose between design so I'll try to give some crits :
First of all, I think the design fits, but I have to admit I didn't found the cockpit on first sight. Then I noticed the bumper in front and the white... .
Anyway ^^, design ok, just little crits now:
First, will the car be able to turn his front wheels, it's seems that it will be able some degrees I think, maybe you should think to "define the functionality" a little more?
Crit about the render: There's a gold shell where you can see through, the one in the middle.
A tip maybe, maybe you can tell us what the settings of the concept are. His environment, sort of car (race,...). Some background information.
Another thing I want to notice, when you take a look at the 3th render, for me personally I think they are to much parts undefined, but I'm sure you would put more details on it on a later stage, so just a reminder .
I hope this somewhat helped, gl with it .
right, did some tightening and variations this morning... so here are the results
want to make the suspension system and chassis adustable... its going to be a headache, but it shouldn't be a major problem... its just trying to satisfy the overally aesthetic with the functionality that will giving me some dilemnas
thanks for the response... the wheels are going to be turnable from inside, sounds wierd, is weird but it should work, but you were spot on in that original render the tyres were way too close to the chassis
the car is going to be for covering huge expanses of salt plains or desert... thats it right now... i want to make it quick, streamlined, sexy and exotic and as well produced as possible so that it seems real
will definitely bring more definition in, you're spot on there! thanks a lot for the feedback!
more to come
That car looks sick!
need feedback urgently...!
of 1 and 2 which one has the most interesting scaling... and keep in mind this will decide the overall size of the car as the scale will be adjusted to fit a pilot... or possibly make it a two seater like a jet fighter!
Please let me know what you think so i can get into the overpaint bit
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
I would go for number 1 cause the body looks biger. Number 2 gives me the impression of small boy and big wheels. But the angle of the render can trick me.
The first one also has more of the white, which also gives a "bigger" impression I think.
The wheels at the back have a cool design .
i like 1
Wow, great sketchbook you've got here
The apple study is pretty sweet and the re-fueling jet is just jawdroppingly awesome!
That last portrait actually shows a lot of potential IMO. You might want to increase the contrast at focal points though. Just try not to go overboard with the contrast because the limited value range can work very well (such as here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=124532 )
You've gotten off to a great start. Keep up the pace
