Thumbs down Speaking of ironman....

Hello everyone!
The BlackFox here, I'm glad that Marvel will publish the art of Ironman the movie and in case some of you don't know it will be available in october.

Howerver I must report that DC has just released the art of The Dark knight and I have to say what a rip!
Not only did they wait until the film was released but the damn thing came shrink wrapped, always a bad sign!

I'm sure alot of you know that whenever something is sold that way it usually means it sucks, and it's the publishers way of dupeing us into buying it if we're interested. (Provided the sellers don't allow a viewing copy.)
Anyway not only does it not show anything we have'nt seen before but it's contents are 95% text! ( As in the final shooting script, what concept art fan wants a shooting script?)

There are no examples of conceiving the new Bat-suit, underground lair or gadgets, there are only a couple of unused designs for the Bat-pod,and some Development of The Joker.
What do we have to do to get a look at all of the unseen goodies that always grabs us?
Anyway I just thought that I would make this information public for those who don't already know.

OH HOLY SHIT, Adi, I hadn't realized you got an account here. I've been a huge fan ever since the Extremis story arc. Amazing work sir. You inspired me to start experimenting more with using watercolors and gauche for my shading before I take my drawings digital. Thanks much for the inspiration!

The amount of detail that goes into your work just kills me. Love it!

I've been so busy the past month I haven't checked out the boards much. I was really surprised to see this thread still clinging on. Thank you very much to all who commented, I absolutely appreciate all the comments and compliments. It's fantastic to see people responding so well to what we did on the movie.

If any of you live in New York, Iron Man mark 2 (the silver one) is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as a part of the Superhero exhibition. Both Phil Saunders and I were incredibly honoured and humbled to see our names in such an institution where you usually have to be long dead to be recognized.

Er... I´ll repeat myself here... but I guess it´s worth mention it...again...

Amazon is pre-ordering "The Art of Iron Man"...!!! How good is the book regarding the concepts and the imagery of the movie? I´ve known that "The Dark Knight" book is actually a bit of disappointment about the "featured production art". In the other hand, "The Art of Kung Fu Panda"(which I bought past week) is truly, breathtakingly beautiful, full of colour keys, early concepts, character studies, sketches... I sincerely hope the Iron Man book follows the same route!

Wait, are you asking me? I have no idea what the book will be like, I had no part in putting it together. Wait till it comes out and have a flip through it before you decide.

Seriously...? I thought your concepts and studies would be part of it. I really don´t know how they publish a book, how much of the artwork depends on you, on your consulting...well...I hope you know what I mean.

Living in Brazil, my best option regarding this book would be buying it from Amazon... I don´t think it´ll be at stores around here... that´s why I´m asking about the book. If your art(along with Phil Saunders work, maybe) are part of it(however small), I´m pre-ordering it NOW
