Good work done for the movie, love the designs and how you interperated them into the illustrations. These images have a place in the inspiration folders.

Hope to see more from you here on the forum.

Adi, wow! Really awesome work here. I remember first seeing your work when you worked with Dreamwave and being really impressed, then seeing you move over to Marvel and do all the awesome covers. Your work really inspires man. I've been waiting to see your work on the movie for awhile. I've been hearing about how great they are from Ryan for awhile now, and dang was he not kidding. This stuff really kicks ass! They gotta put a book out showcasing your work, Ryan's and Phil's. It'd really be a shame if they don't. Congrats man! And thanks for always putting out such consistently awesome work.

As always, your work is really AMAZING ! Your design of Iron Man is really great, and i'm happy that it was the inspiration for the movie suit ( although i prefer what the top of Iron Man's head looks like in your artworks compared to the one we can see in the movie ). I really like the images showing Iron man vs Iron Monger, i think that if we had been able to see those images before the movie came out, we would have been really excited to see the movie even before seeing any trailer !

Amazing… simply amazing. I went to the movie last night and I must say its one of the best super hero movies to date. It’s so very cool to come back to this thread and see concepts to so many key scenes and designs in the movie. To you and all of the other professionals who keep coming back and providing us with the best inspiration we could ask for – thank you.

Man, that's some really nice stuff! You know, I really like to see the early versions of people's art, that way I can sort of absorb some of their techniques... Or try at least lol ;p

Were any of these rendered off of 3D models? Some of them looks sort of modelled. Might be the great rendering though. Regardless, keep it up!

Amazing stuff, I hope to one day be able to do that one day.

I thought this movie was going to flop like a few other comic remakes, but it was so well done with the CG, and the designs for all the armor was remarkable. Keep us posted with the new designs for the next movie!!

Was wandering the same thing as Malakai SinClair if any of the illustrations are rendered off 3d models?
Anyway, beautiful stuff and fell free to post some more

Absolutely beautiful renderings! I hope your project with Mr. Favreau goes on for quite a while, 'til I can afford to start collecting comics again. Seriously, I don't buy comics anymore due to the cost and general mediocrity of the work, but seeing your images is making me reconsider.

I'm an unpublished graphic novelist currently working on a 3 part sci-fi epic series. I'm writing and illustrating, so the hours can get long and frustration can run high. Seeing your dazzling images has given me a dose of instant inspiration, though, so I'm going to open up my edit right now and get back to work.

Thanks for the rush of adrenaline!

Hello Adi.

Hello Adi,
I'm known as The Black fox.
I'm a concept designer myself, my specialty is props & costumes.
I've just come across your designs for Ironman the movie and I must say that I am speechless!!!

I've been hoping that a "art of book" would be available but to my surprise no success.
I hope that one will be out there at some point.

Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I've been a fan of yours for sometime now, I have yet to post my own work on this site but now that I have had the privalege to see your amazing work for The Ironman movie I may very well
post something soon.
If there are any more Ironman designs please post them, I'm sure that I speak for everyone here on the forum as well as your fans;more! more!!

Cheers and all the best!!
The Blackfox

well not sure what to say, there's enough praise here in all possible variation that I'll just be redundant with anything I type X(

I still haven't seen the movie, which I hear is great---your concepts make me want to go see it more than the trailers

I would buy a 'Art of Iron Man' book in a heartbeat.

When a die-hard comic fan friend and I first heard that there was an Iron Man movie coming out, there was the usual response to comic book movies: intense joy, followed by a creeping sense of dread. Only need to look at the recent string of comic book movies to see how easily these things can go wrong. And definitely one of our greatest fears would be the look of Iron Man. The armor is so iconic, could it really be adapted to the screen? More over, would the director/art design stay true to the armor or do some ridiculous over-the-top radical change, 'cause hey, it's happened before.

When we saw that Adi Granov was in the design process, we sighed a humongous sigh of relief. At least one thing would go right. And when we saw the armour, oh God, you wouldn't believe the cheers of joy. Spectacular.
For that alone, Mr. Granov, you have my full respect and gratitude. Never, NEVER have I been so excited for a costume design.

Oh, and the movie rocked.

These are amazing. I'm particularly impressed with how you managed to keep the same (high) standard throughout all of these paintings. I really like the actions poses as well, very dynamic.
