if any of you pay attention to the sculpting forum, the person who made a Samus Action Figure... she needs to make a kit for Iron Man.

Adi, it's great to have you here, like Bomba I remember your stuff from way back in the EP days. I love how your original suit redesign for the comics updated and modernized the classic look after all the awful armors that proceeded it, and I was so happy to hear that you had been brought in to work on the film. I finally manged to see it today, and needless to say it was great.

Hi there, Great pictures. How do you get that cell shaded look? I remember your name from years ago. Perhaps it wasnt from this site...but you were making very tight pencil shaded drawings. V similar to these, and then coloured in photoshop....Have I got mixed up? Hmm nice though

Wow, just great work. Such a brilliant level of finish, a sort of hyper realism that is just stunningly good.

Wow, thanks everyone, the response this got is amazing. I don't really know how to go about replying...

I'll say a huge THANK YOU! to everyone who commented for their kind words and the time they took to let me know what they thought. It's more than appreciated. I'll try to reply to all questions and/or other posts that might need a response.

First, I'll try to post more art as much as I can. I usually have to wait for Marvel to show something before I'm allowed to. But I do have a few covers I've finished recently which I'm quite happy with.

nonie, hehe, bedsheets are advertised in current Marvel comics, I wasn't joking!

space-sprayer, it's been much longer than a year, as crazy as that is. But yeah animex I was at was in 2006, just as I wrapped my work on the movie.

banhatin, I still haven't seen that figure in person. I am really excited about Hot Toys doing a high-end figure though, it will be fantastic!

Mr Joshua, I didn't know Ryan was working on Transformers 2. Yeah his work is awesome and I really wish we got to see more of it.

Bomba, yeah, EP of old, although I started posting there right around the time I started doing covers, just not for Marvel yet, so maybe 7 years ago... And I've been pushing this same style for 10 years at least, just trying to make it as good as I can. I'm glad the progress shows.

Riddick, I think if everything I ever drew was Iron Man it would probably get very boring, but this work on the movie was a while ago and I've been doing a lot of stuff in between so it's always fun to get back to something technical and solid.

I'll definitely be working on something of my own creation fairly soon, there are things in motion, but at the moment I'm doing a lot of Marvel stuff because I'm under a contract with them, which is no bad thing as I get to work on stuff like Iron Man.

mwillustration, thanks man, and I really like drawing girls, but don't get to do it as often as everyone always wants me to do aggressive stuff instead.

otsopsanig, it's good to hear that the book was sold out! i have no idea how well it was ordered, or how well it's been selling (that info usually becomes available a few weeks after) so it's good to hear that the stores are selling out. I'm sorry you couldn't get a copy thought. but maybe it'll prompt the stores to re-order.

Elwell, thank you. I think what helped my redesign of Iron Man is the fact that I've never read an IM comic until I started working on it, so I was able to objectively look at the past designs and pick and choose the elements I liked without any continuity/history weighing me down.

complete2, you're not the only one! I inherited that design of the chest light and although I had to keep it for the comics it was the very fist thing I thought needed changing for the movie, hence the round light on the movie armour. Jon Favreau and I had a discussion about it very early on and he convinced the producers that round is better based on my argument that the triangular one was too superman like.

Chupacabra/Ken, Puno hvala! Nikad nisam pratio football, ali sam odrastao na Kosevu tako da zbog toga je Sarajevo...

plantman, I am not sure what you mean by cell shaded, I think my work is almost as far from cell shading as it gets. And I imagine I am the person you're thinking of.

Aleksi, thanks man. I think you and I have some mutual friends in France. You've been doing some kickass covers!

sho-nuff, sorry man, it's all hand drawn. I use 3-d for reference sometimes, but everything gets drawn and painted by hand.

Android, thanks man, it's really nice to hear that from you because I've felt the same about your work, which has evolved and grown into a real force.

Again, thanks everyone!

Amazing work. The suit is bad ass and I love the way you have made all the metal look shiny and distressed at the same time. The covers are incredible!

I say this with grave conviction: Iron Man, hands down, was visually "the" most authentic comic book movie that I have seen to date and I commend you on your wonderful designing and page-screen translation faculties.

You brought many a comic book fanatics of all ages a simultaneous climax on the release of this movie.
(aka. Sploogomatic)

Congrats!
