NanoBlack: I hope you get back to work
Lyno: ty, and sorry. but i dropped the one from 265, i went on with it,
doin full color and working the lines away,
but it did work for me, the flow was missing and it looked totally different to me :s
I apologize for losing track of my SB, but now I'm back!
with a brand new update, not much but hey, its something right?
Just 2 sketch pages for the 20 or so that ive maid the last few days, most were posemaniac 45 sec poses and head studies. Here are some headstudies all from imagin. and a page of designs for the Chow this week: where the wild things are. i kinda keep stuck at the same design, its pretty hard to come up with some fluffy bad ass warm hearted monster :p anyways, hope you enjoy
Nice work with the faces, especially the ones you're building from basic shapes. I find it helps a lot when dealing with unfamiliar concepts, ehehehe, not that i've done many unfamiliar concepts.
Unhuman shapes can be difficult. Look at other ideas, interpretations, try some different animals or structures. Then work on basic ideas. Try to think of more or less eyes, ears, legs, etc. For Example: Two eyes, two horns, no ears, Three sets of legs, One tail, the legs all joined in a "water wings" fashion. I dunno, just spitballing here.
I'd love to see you work on some new ideas, it would be an epic journey!
Lav: ty, when do are you gonna get a page further?
Lyno: maybe i can, thnks for the tip
NanoBlack: thnx, now i kinda want to do some animal studies for once, sick of humans :p
So here's a WIP on te CHow entry

Cute little guy you got there!
I would suggest either putting him in a more interesting pose, or making it more like a orthographic turnaround.
Because a guy just sort of standing there isnt all that interesting if he is meant to painted with any sort of context. Putting him in an orthographic pose let the veiwer know there isnt supposed to be any moreinformation that just the character being displayed.
Great head studies mate. Keep it up.
And I would agree with Sub as well. The character looks awesome, but the pose is quite static, and doesn't express much. Mix him up, he'll turn out awesome.
I agree with those dudes above me. Nice work- interesting concept, a humanoid shape but not such humanoid features. Have it doing something basic, or just strutting its stuff. You can't really go wrong, just make sure its basic.
Sublimus: Thnx, your comment is dead on
Lyno: thx m8
Lav: look more as if your 'workmobile' is a dumped trailercar of some kind :p
ALL: ye i know about the pose of the char, I was thinkin it the whole time is was painting him. But As I tried to draw him in different poses it didnt work out and i fucked up but next time ill avoid the linear pose
Here are 2 SP ive done, im quite stunned by them
all the time I was going like WHOOOO this is goin to be awesome! and just let the pencil and some sweet music guide me. Hope you like em and recongnise me in them.
I like the head studies that you did. Great job using spheres and directional lines.
If you ever find yourself getting stuck on a character design, but wanting more, try doing silhouettes. Fast little 30 second splotches that don't have much detail can really get your brain thinking about new ideas/concepts.
Keep up the hard work man i need to work more on self portraits there tough.
Till next time -Jamie

Nice portrait studies, you're getting better at faces. Its also nice to see some expression in them, as many pieces you see often in sketchbooks are quite static.
Now stop reading posts and get to work!
Cool stuff. Painting wise you are developping quite fast, and very good. I would spend some more time on developping your gestures and such, and get some more dynamics in your work.

been bizzy lately
I'm walking around with this witch kind of concept in my head, i want to make it somewhat fantasy, but I try to avoid the 'childness' in it. Because people start to notice it :p so im goin for something more adult and stereotyp avoiding, but to hard
Big improvement here!
Keep it up!
