Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook, I appreciate the helpful comments
I think your more recent work looks great, you have a great handle on working digitally. I'd say do more life studies and traditional work, though you'll likely be doing quite alot of since you're starting art school. My experience at art school so far has been primarily self-driven, so remember that you gotta stay motivated and always be working on your own. Thats my advice anyways.
I'll keep on eye on your sb, keep up the good work
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Ball'o'Skin looks quite tasty...?
Nice work in here, I like your digi-sketches, how they are loose and smudgey around the edges but really tight and precise in the centre of interest. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

"laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
Okaaay so it's been a really long time since my last update, but I'm still making art. Most of what I'm doing now is schoolwork that is too big to be scanned or freelance work which I can't post yet. I'm going to try and find more time to do some personal paintings or studies or sommething to give me a break from work and allow myself to explore.
I won't bother getting to replies this time since I doubt anyone whose commented here is going to check back after however many months it took me to post again.
I've also tried recording myself doing a speedpainting. The video is kinda eh, but I like the end result, so just check it out and let me know what you think. Mannn I miss being on these boards.

sketchbook updated October 6th
OmertA: Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video and the robot man, I'm gonna try and keep going with that style to see where it goes.
Here's some more stuff. I brought my laptop and tablet today to an open figure drawing session at my school. I wanted to try digital painting the figure from life, and it was really awesome. The poses are about 15-20 mins each.
Awesome stuff man, that last update is great. I like on the last guy how loose and quickly it looks like it was done, it almost gives him a sense of movement. I really can't critique anything, it's killer stuff all around. Thx for posting.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

WhiteC Thanks a lot man. Yeah I love the way my laptop is working, no hitches whatsoever so far. I've got Vista on mine still, but it's not a problem. Still running CS2 as well, we use CS4 at school, and I don't know, I'm just not much of a fan of it.
Pigeonkill THanks man!
dtran Thanks dude I will!
So I finally got a digital camera yesterday, so I was able to photograph some of my figure drawings from a course a took last summer. I got a lot of these guys, so bear with me I'll try and post the better ones. Once they're outta the way I'll get some of my school stuff up. Comments welcome!
yeah cs4 is kinda slow... i was on cs for a long time until recently when i bought that laptop with windows 7, i thought it would be optimal to run cs 4 64 bits. Great studies , your in art school ??? How did you change your username btw, i always wanted to change mine keep posting
Wow, you're awesome, I love your loose painting sketches, so loose yet so,... defined
Keep it up, you've got all the talent needed, gotta keep crackin' the whip now
Wow, you got some sweet paintings in here, very creative Ideas.
I really like your value work and where it's all going, the perspective grids that your doing had me a bit curious, I've not seen much people use them in images but they make yours really pop out.
Very cools stuff, keep up the great work
wonderfull work you sure do have confidence with your line and color
i'd love to see some things you are less comfortable with perhaps picking up sculpture ? something new and out of the bounds...
very inspirational work i also thank you for the many informative posts you have made in the Art schools / Education forum
hope to see more soon !
