This is serious stuff bro. The level of detail you are achieving is sick. I love it. thanks for sharing.
saa: Thank you very much! Whee, stars!
Quick_Sketch:Thanks! Hope you like this batch
Ignominious: Wow, thank you!
marioucci:Thank you very much. You have a fantastic sketchbook!
Marjolein: Haha, yea, dolls -are- scary. I hated them as a kid and I still can't look at one for too long without getting all creeped out.Thank you very much! I work as a texture painter at Rhythm and Hues. I'd love to do concept art someday though.
I don't have any recent tutorials (although I did write a huge one on skin tones, and lost it ) If there's anything in particular you want to know, please ask. I usually save all stages of my paintings too so if walkthroughs help, I can post the in-progress stages too.I have an olllldd walkthrough here
(Eek, there are so many things I'd like to change in that painting now)
slooie: Thank you!
Slav: Thanks a lot!
DARAF: Heheh, I'm a girl Many thanks!
I have some more doodles!
*picks up jaw from floor* I love this, your skin-rendering is fabulous and that dollface looks like I can actually touch it
How is this done?
Just completely crazy sweet stuff.
Hope to see more soon.
Please take the time to give me some constructive criticism in my Sketchbook
Pixeltuner: Thanks a lot!
chrishly: Thank you very much!
Hilbruks: Photoshop CS2, I-ball tablet and lots of boredom, hahaha. Thanks!
I just joined the new Bargue OFDW at CGTalk and I'm so thrilled! I lovelove most of the modelers whose works are up to draw from and I picked an awesome alien/creature portrait by the ever so awesome Damien Canderle. Here's his superb model.. It's not done yet, but I have the stages up for what I've done so far.
great work, love it!
Just great stuff! I love the rendering, specifically the variety of skin types you've covered.. great!
You're painting work is amazing, you got a signature to you work,
please continue updating more!
Please check out my sketchbook
And my Life Studies
Animation is hard work, BUT.....
It's also tedious....
Amazing stuff here! Keep posting!
5*s from me.

some threads i've been following and some people i met along the way:
Tensai *** Mike Butkus' SB *** Bhanu *** Wanimal *** AztcFireFlwr
Ezidof: Thank you!
EricElwell: Thank you very much. I think I need to move away from skin, do more enviros and stuff. And more mechas, yeah!
young paddy1: Thank you!
Maidith: That's supernice of you to say. Thank you!
amer-nazri: Hehe, I wish I had colour pencils around. The sketches are tinted( well the first one was a bad scan but I liked how it looked and..)
ccsears: Thanks a lot!
Quick_Sketch: Thank you! All credits for the design and execution go to Damien Canderle. I'm just copying
The texture for the mantis is a simple hexagonal pattern I made. I think I actually used it as an eraser since the brush didn't quite give me the results I wanted. I have attached the texture, the brush(CS2) and a close up of the mantis so you can see how it really looks
So I have a mini update on the alien and some stuff from the previous torso-OFDW at CGTalk.
Again, thanks for the wonderful comments everyone, it really motivates me to work harder and be less of a lazy bum!

Arn J.: Thank you!
Retronym: Thank you so much. Lighting is something I still haven't quite managed to understand though. I should experiment more >.<
sjuskadur: Heheh, how sweet! Thank you!
wookiedabo:Thanks a lot!
Quick_Sketch: You're very welcome I hope you found it useful! I understand what you mean about the leg, I'm sort of fond of losing edges here and there though. But thanks a lot again!
Sorry about not updating here, I've been swamped with work and after painting all day at work, the last thing I want to pick up the tablet again when I'm home. Gah But I forced myself to doodle a bit today, and it's a girl head again! I've been wanting to paint bunny-teeth for a while,ha.About 2 hours, most of which was spent on trying to fix the far eye and eventually giving up. It's really strange that I can paint super fast some days, and some other no matter what I do and how much time I put in, it just ends up looking like utter rubbish. Also, this one's without ref, which is why a lot of the features are all skewed, but it's a good exercise I think. This way, when I do work from ref, I think I analyse the ref a lot better.
That's my excuse
Next, a strange little doodle

how you could ever be nervous about posting here (per your first post in this thread) is beyond me! Your work is fantastic! The lighting is spot on... I wish I had these skills... until then I'll keep practicing. I'll be coming back for sure!
