Love how you got the hardness of the gun down perfectly in contrast to the arms and flesh! Glass could use a little more work. Mostly just with the lack of pieces in the foreground. Somethign about large glass pieces only and not a single piece overlapping the girl bothers me....other than that superb! Why do all the lurkers always have great work but are so shy to show?
It's good but the glass looks weird and the gun handle (dunno the exact word) are very massive. The right leg, foot and knee are a bit twisted. I thing you should add some detail to really finish it.
love her expression.
I'm wondering why there are tentacles and human hands reaching out of that window?
I think it would be better that you should answer that question for yourself in how you interpret it and why. After all, its a metaphorical part of the piece, take it as you want .
Personally I like this piece for the above reason, as to why shes escaping/what shes escaping from, but I think the angle of the view could use a little love, to me the side-view feels plain and the fact that the building stops toward the left side of the canvas flattens the view aswell, I think considering shes meant to be really high up as shown by the city in the background, a different view showing the ground more, angled down, I think would help emphasise all the clutter and mess she is trying to escape from, but this is just an idea.
Overall an interesting piece so far but I reckon you can work more on cleaning alot of areas up or experimenting with it more, ie: the city in the background, it almost appears like a paint-over of a photo, work on it more, you might learn a few handy tricks for recreating believable city-scapes without too much need for references .
Keep on creating and more importantly, have fun doing it!

Because "big body with small equipment" is already reserved for classical paintings of men. See David
iluvrice: Nice painting. I like the colors and flow. However, her hands, and generally limbs, are kind of awkward in shape I think. Looking at the front shoe, the small and thin lower leg compared to her, pardon me, gigantic ass. And then her head is too small too.
THanks for the crits and comments everybody; this is great feedback . Personally, the gnarled hands and octopi tentacles represent everything that frustrates me... (ie. anything/ everything work-related) and how sometimes you just want to break free and jump out that f*in window with guns a'blazin. So yes... mindless zombies, corporate slaves... same sh*t different pile as they say hehe.
RabidPeanut: LOLOL, i almost choked on my drink when i saw your sketch hahaha. that made my day.
