Damn man, this is some pretty wicked work. I like the variety, really cool sketchbook man. Stick with what distinguishes you from the rest and keep with it.

Thanks nurraymjo, I think I'm just a bit of a falicitator really. It's a good motivator to keep me drawing. Glad you like it.

A watercolour proposal for a flyer. Never heard back and now found out they've got someone else to do it.
Proves I've got to study my animal anatomy a lot more.

Thanks SocialistPatriot, I haven't done many vehicles in a while as it seems people want people and I'm getting a bit too much into anatomy.
You've made me want to get back into the techno side of things again

These are just drafts for a few boards I did for a night in a local club.
Will post up the photos once I get them.

nice stuff! loved the dancing zebras, they really stood out to me

it seems your limbs/facial features on humans do go wandering a bit tho, might be worth looking into how to construct those from start to finish, or doing some tutored life drawing. it feels like you're getting into details before you've really nailed down where they belong

Yay, for spraypainting.. I have added this thread to my quicklist, and go and have a look in here from time to time.. Nice sb pages as always, though on some, it seems like you are too much stuck to old, instead of trying something new (though that comment might be total bs, i think that eventually every artist sticks to one style, and keeps repeating the things/concepts he or she likes the most, and there is a great variety of things you do, people, machines, some enviros, animals, so you have done pretty much all the categories) .. I like the fact that you have got into animals, (btw, that shit is quite complicated. i mean animal anatomy) .. the last page with zebra characters is looking good and those lions fighthing, that one has a great movement, also the other thumbnails about the same thing are looking powerful.. Those portraits in acrylic (problabally) are also looking nice.. what was up with that project, that made you not finish it? (Got too bored about it? .. it seems to happend with bigger things) Btw, have you got an airbrush? Just saw that one of those sb pages had a little spray paint on it, outlining a characer..

About the last spray painting I think you should had chosen a little bit better colors.. though, i don't know what the room itself looks, so they might be actually looking cool in there. ( Or added a little bit darker tone in some places, where the bigger shadows are, maybe that would have a little more dynamic feel to it) .. Some places look a little badly covered in the background, not that it has to be all covered the same way, but maybe those purples and blues might be faded more smoothly into each other, has a little scratchy feel. though it might just be the picture, maybe it looks better in real life.. though background is background, and it dosen't mather that much, it just caught my eye a little, and thought i would mention it. Overall the figure is still looking cool.. Keep it up.

Thanks for your epic post spark, good to hear from you again.

I know what you mean about me going in circles but I see it as trying to improve at what you know, not trying to be a master of all crafts.

Yeah I like drawing animals, especially dogs as they can have such a personality although maybe only the owners can see it. Don't find the anatomy that complex to be honest as it's very similar to our own but then that's seeing it from just the basics.

That acrylic project was, in a nutshell, just something that I procratinated with for ages. Various problems/gossip/rumours/falling outs went on for a few years and eventually I was just left with this unfinished project.

That last spray painting was a disaster by all accounts. I'm realising now how shit I am with colour, I just haven't got the eye for it. I also don't use spray cans enough so I just need more practice. Thanks for all your constructive comments though, you're too kind.
I'd like to get better with airbrushing too but I need to invest in a new compressor, seems ones with a reservior are the ones to go for. If you ever get the chance to have a go with one, do it.
