Been around for a while, but mostly just creeping silently, looking at people's art. Decided to start a sketchbook finally, since I really want to work on my digital painting skills. I'll probably mostly be doing landscapes. Thanks for looking :)
Hmm not sure if I should be posting reference images as well, or if people care. For now, I will not clutter the sketchbook. Just something quick, a couple of hours while listening to a podcast. A copy from a photo ref. I'm fairly happy with it.
My friend's publishing his first chapbook soon! This is a cover illustration he asked me to do for it. I'm not sure how much further I'm going to take it, but I think I need to work a little bit more with the background / sky so that it reads as light coming through trees.
A painting from a photo I took on vacation, in progress. Going to work on a bit more detail in the hill on the right, maybe fudge with some shapes and colors. We'll see what happens! I like it alright as is, but I don't feel like it's done.
