Hi I am 15 and a long time lurker but havnt posted before so I htought why not now. I havnt realy taken art seriously just been a hobby till earlier this year. Ive always wanted to have some sort of job drawing like concept designe or illustration but never realy considered mysself good enough so I just did it as a hobby 3-4 drawings a weeks. Now I found you wonderfully talented people! So now is my chance to indulge myself in your wealth of information! So here it goes this is some of my stuff from the past month.
2)army of two character(game comeing out later this year not my designe of course)
3)Dragon I drew without refrence(scanner makes it hard to see)
4)Knight from oblivion (obvieously not my designe again)
Thas all for now. I welcome criticism. I need help with anatomy pretty bad and with faces and hands. Thanks for the help
I think the knight turned out pretty nice. If you're looking into anatomy George Bridgman, Andrew Loomis and Burne Hogarth are a great place to start. I downloaded some PDFs of their books recently, definintly a great tool to have. Keep on draw'n!
Hi there I'm 17 so we aren't too far apart. Best advice i can offer at this point, is practice your anatomy. Find some nude figures and draw them out, find a figure drawing class if you can. Draw from life, everything around you as much as you can. Always keep a sketchbook with you so you can draw where ever you are.
Fish through the forums and look at the art around here it can be very inspirational. Feel free to ask for help, bring some of your finished work to the Critique center and whatnot.
Technically speaking. I think you should smudge less when you shade. Let your lines do all the work. Stay loose when you draw your lines, you should spend about 80% of the time looking at what you are drawing, and making sure everything is where it should be.
@voice Ill note on the smudges. I usualy dont but on the knight I did. I do need to start drawing from life I usualy draw from my head or sometimes pictures but I need to do some anatomical stufys and the such.
