Just found a face off the internet and decide to draw him.
Thats amazing! I see the resemblance!
How long did it take you to complete that?
That was kickass! He looks like a giraffe with elephant ears! I do caicatures too, but I usually just sketch them like what you get at the fair. Unlike them, I find some sort of unique quirk about them, and use that to make fun of them. Take Shakira for example: tropical island, but that's about the size of her huge head. They're really fun when you just sit back somewhere and find someone doing something odd just to make fun of it...
Oh! I forgot! *orders crowd of elephants and giraffes to give huge applause*
Hey Thanks guys!
JohnQ: yeah, I think it took me just 2 nights. I kinda had the idea in my head and just went for it blind. Also I've done caricature for 7 years, so I'm use to it.
Manly Man: Cool man! Yeah, I know what mean. I've done theme park caricatures for 6 years. It was fun, but The whole theme park style is behind me now. Right now I'm trying to get more digital with my caricatures and sometimes more experimenting.
Check out my previous post that I did of the American Idol Judges. thanks.
Nice! I can't help but smile when I look at this image. Its cheer is infectious. The "animalizing" of the guy was a nice creative touch.
Some crits: I feel that the neck could be more dynamic. Right now it seems like a uniform hairy cylinder, and I feel it would be improved a bit if it was narrower at the top and wider at the bottom, or maybe vice-versa. A few more hard brushtrokes would be nice, particularly in the highlights, since everything's so soft and blurry. And finally, his skin tone could be a lot richer. You painted it a single pale redish hue, but look at the skin tones of the guy in the picture. His highlights have a yellow tint to them, the midtones have some spots of saturated rose, and shadows have a touch of purple.
Once again, very nice.
Wow! thanks Moai for the advice! I think you're totally right. I'll work on those suggestions.
that's hilarious! nice interpretation/characature.
Life is a long lesson in humility.
