I loved the colors on the first one, particularly the contrasts. What do you use to paint? could you give a hint on your workflow?
Your self portrait looks really cool, I only find it a bit static. Maybe if you make the dragon look to the front, or move a wing....I'd like to see some colors on it.
I used Photoshop CS2 for all of these so far. Still trying to get to grips with Painter X.
Normally its a sketch then i outline it/or just start painting depending on what it is. Then start shading. I tend to sketch in the background roughly first then work on it as i go along.
Then occasionally i will put it through some photoshop filters (which is what happened to the first one not quite sure where all those colours came from it was purple and grey to start off with)
Tis abit static isn't it ¬¬ still not good at poses. Ah well practice makes perfect.
That's a nice start for your first sketchbook here.
Although I think you are going a bit too fast with your drawings. I mean the anatomy, the structure is te basic of drawing, but also hard getting control of. I would suggest some muscle and bone sketches here. I will be there too give comments again.
Keep drawing and keep learning!
Oooooh cool beans!
I like the concept behind the last one. Her feet look good - almost as if you used a reference for them and not the rest of the picture. And that demon behind her is super awesome. If it were me, I'd give it the slightest hint of more form, probably a sort of feline/kitsune type creature-ness. And that city in the valley is very interesting.
I know there is some strange things going on with the anatomy but i am fairly happy with it. I was going for a fairly green 'look' Crits are welcome.
I will take some photos/scans of some of my actual sketchbook work eventually I promise since i have some life drawing in there.
Just done a skull study using this as a ref - http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thu...y_at_night.jpg

Hey thanks for stopping by the SB! Some sweet coloring you have going on!! Only thing I can recommend is more life studies (or from pictures) to help you with your human facial structures unless those up there were meant to be cartoons.

I'm trying to ease myself into realistic faces I think, its the one thing i really struggle with when it comes to people :s
I feel you could definitely improve your characters with more figure studies. And while experimenting with digital is important, I'd like to see more of your original ground work, sketches, thumbnails etc. Looking at the process gives us more to aid you.
I like the skull, actually. The colours used make it seem so...washed out, and that's a nice feeling.
There will be proper anatomy studies eventually...
But in the meantime this was a picture i did for a good friend who won a kiriban thing on *cough*DA*cough* so yeh he wanted a picture of us all at the pub watching football. Well as a rule they watch football and i play pokemons
But for this picture i was pretending to look interested in the football.

Yes! Those are sooo very good! You definitely seem more comfortable with animals. Is that one creature on the top of sketch12.jpg supposed to be anything specific? It reminds me of Mew. I really like it. And the top-left sphere on your page of tone/shape practice is very good.
I like your kitties and dragons =) It would be cool if you did some quick gestural drawings of kitties.

Hi, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook
Hehe I was going to say that some of your work reminds me of that of Amzarahgunn (now known as MoreSerotoninPlease) but I see that you are friends with said artist That said, you have a good creature style going on. I see that you have started some more serious digital colouring, and I would have to crit the shading method that you are using - your shadows are very saturated, probably moreso than your midtones, which looks unnatural and is usually the result of multiply or colour burn shading. The other side effect of this method of shading is that it can cause shadows to very easily turn black and can give the whole pic a muddy feeling. the 'darken' blending mode offers more control over shadows but comes at the expense of taking longer to work with.
You skull study and the pub pic are very promising.
(the red valve picture however was done purely using the burn and dodge tools i just went a bit OTT with the burn tool. Twas an exercise we were given to do by out tutor at uni.)
Demon and little girl picture...
nice imagination !i like sonic heh i play it now on ps3))keep it up!
