Nice work, JJ.
We here with the Fragmentedchimp agreed to share this thread for both of us.
Since I do not post here very often it would be better for two people to keep this thread alive.
Here is my latest ballpoint drawing from my sketchbook.
I Am Colorophobic
Fragmented chimp. Great stuff! I love the quick inkwashes and loose flowing marks. Very great stuff. Inspiring.

spin the wheel!
goofing around with gouache and just goofing.
anatomy studies are on the to-do list.
quick WIP post - wanna try and add color once the grayscaled errr version is done.
crits and advice is totally encouraged, im not so down with the ways of painter.
nice work here, mate. i really like your sketching. great linework, very vivid style of mixing and blending all parts of the sketchpage into each other. looking forward to seeing more. keep it up!

Pretty dynamite stuff man, love it that you post so often.
Great sketches and some really cool colors too. My advice for you is to perhaps slow down here and there, some of these seems a bit too rushed, if you organized your thoughts and took your time some more I'd say you'd develope even more. but hey that's just my spontanues first reaction. I might be hasty myself. ,)
Great stuff though, love what I see!
ajvenema-thank ja! anatomy is a definite need, too true, i hate speaking about plans, cuz they seldom turn out when i talk about em, but winter break seems like an awesome length of time to work some of that stuff out, bust some long hours out on muscle studies and general life drawing skillzzz! thanks for the comments!
Tigermilk-thanks yo, yeah, they are rushed, perhaps a touch too much. I've got to find that awkward middle ground, where i can put a limited amount of effort into it, and still get the passable-as-finished-art look, but i could really do with some studies. cheers!
a quick fast second post, just to get the rest of the fast garbage out. serious from now on in, HMPH.
id click my heels together if it weren't related to most fascist types.
h'allo crummy update, but im trying to use painter for at least a half hour every day, regardless of whatever turns up.
oh, and the update of my old digi thing, damn that took a while, carpel tunnel woo woo!
randalthor- thanks! aye aye! i really wanna spend more time thinking about what im about to draw.cheers.
hey man thanks for the comment in my SB, appreciate it.
Looks really really cool, love the upper one in this last post. You should definately develope him.
keep to it!
3 quick paintings 2 pretty much still in progress with a model, and oh sh' RED LIGHT. right. lots of fun
and some moleskine stuff. i figure one of em could make for a sweet little test in the screen printing studio.
yo homez! you got some crazy development in that thread, gratz on all the work! id post but im too inclined to draw after seeing a page of it! no really, its hard staying at a keyboard/ post more fool! cheers for the comments man, ack: reminder -i have to get to anatomy studies!
Love your creativity and motivatin, really inspiring.
What an expression on the ram....i would buy a poster of that on.....
Though i love the looseness in your work i would also recommend you to force yourself to get at least one finished piece out of the week....so you´ll develop even more as an artist.
cheers and keep up the awsome work
yo delmar - yeah no kidding, unfinished pieces are pinching my mind, haven't been keeping to my half hour digi drawing like i said i would . but yeah, definitely, finished stuff would drive me even more. thanks for the comments!
lots of end semester work, getting lazy, ill get back into top gear.
sketchies and a progress pic. really not to proud of that last sketchy, in-my-head-anatomy = poop.
JJ, great stuff! I think you should close down lines to define shapes(in some areas). It was hard for me to read them.
Great depth in your pieces, but something is missing to really pop them.
I'm going to post my latest drawing, though I should be finishing up Blair's assignments.
I Am Colorophobic
that looks absolutely great man! I enjoyed the values in those colors of the two recent posts. perhaps I wish you could clean your lines up a bit, but that'll come to ya!
I'm hoping you'll take this one further. doing that my suggestion would be to work some on your edges, try using a bit more apparent contours to sort the colors from each and other.
- waiting for the updates...
tigermilk: yeah man, it sounds a little silly but maybe the lines will find their way into their proper places over some time. it helps when i concentrate and draw, haha sounds like a 'durrr' theory! cheers, i do want to finish that one, its got a wet layer of oil on it now! whoopee!
some more stuff before i head off for the winter-lots of drawing on the beach ah cant wait.
that second to last one is quite a bit larger, but i forgot my photobucket account
ill get my pass soon. phfft..

I always love your looseness with the ink and pencil work. Great style. Seemed chaotic, but impressively reconizable. Keep it up
Please check out my sketchbook
And my Life Studies
Animation is hard work, BUT.....
It's also tedious....
dang man! these are really good! i love that you work in traditional mediums. (so do i) it's hard to find other people that do. i really like the life of ALL of your pics. keep it up!

more stuff, more model drawing than sketchbook, but that is anatomy study stuff! in a way!
you can do really great and much more loose than usuall with b n w inks. keep going
aviable for fulltime and freelance
oioi yeah man, i wanna get back to doing things in ink, carrying around to classes is just a real bother, and its always a risk to my backside. its spilt out over my jeans before, through my bag, no fun haha. more nonsense
enjoying teh conceptualization of stuff a little more, maybe some stuff will be a little more on task in terms of being.... actual conceptual stuff.
