Awesome work. Love everything, but especially your pencils. Keep it up!
I'm going with cout<mecha on this one. I think you might want to consider taking several of these to some sort of finish. I think at the very least, you've got a couple of great tshirt designs here.
The armed midget girl & her pet with the graphic behind her, the girl in the corset would make starkly graphic interesting designs. Easily seen from a distance on shirts.
I think you might want to get serious about doing something at next year's San Diego Comic Con. You're working on a graphic novel, so over the next year you can work up a series of illustrations that you can submit to Marvel, DC, Dark Horse or whomever, just to get a few things published. You get them published, you can then get into Artists' Alley to show your range of work.
By doing so, you can have published by then, a really nice sketchbook that shows your work, including graphic design, comics work, and a nice preview of your graphic novel.
THIS is what you'll be handing out to publishers, selling to customers, and generally using as a means to introduce yourself to the world.
Just a thought.
As usual, damn nice work.
I still want to see some fucking ENVIRONMENTS once in a while, eh?
fucked up on the time zone difference again with my character of the week, didn't make poll.
a real bummer because i am pretty happy with him.
i did it all in illustrator then added some grunge to it in photoshop. i originally put some color on em but in the end i hated it so i took it out. black and white looks better i think.
i even had a bit of back story for the guy... he's supposed to be the "veteran", so i put a bit of a sci-fi twist on it: its 3029 and we're at war. this guy is a clone of a god like war general from the past, we've had to make some corrections to the body (adding new arms), but otherwise he's in tiptop shape. only quirk he has is that he refuses to use our laser guns... he insists on using his antique desert eagle. ah well, what ya gonna do?
here he is:
Thanks for the updates, esp. thanks for posting your photograph at the What does everyone look like thread. I drew it for the other thread and it was pretty fun. Keep on posting these nice ideas which link anatomical mechanical stuff to human bodys!
you realy have unique style
love the girl with the tatoo on the shoulder...
epic, such a sick guy, effortless style
To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.
I hate writing a post and then have it not show up on the thread. Okay, I'll try this again:
Your work is strikingly great, as usual. What I really want to see from you though, is for you to take the Western piece and finish it in full color. Make it as full and painterly as you can, with all the nuance and detail you can muster. Think of it as if you're producing a high-quality lithograph.
You want to do artwork for pay - actual artwork, not just graphics - then this is excellent practice for your graphic novel you're working on.
You already have a distinctive style. You just need now to produce a body of work that will define you in this very new (for you) artistic category.
You are this good. I know it, everyone else here does, too. You just need to step up and prove us all right.
thanks clout<mecha, i take that as a compliment. i met him and jason shawn alexander while back, pretty cool guys. i was personally blown away by how similar our styles are.
wish i could collab with them on some shit, just haven't had the opportunity.
magnut, thanks mang.
just posted some new photos on my flickr page.
Motherfucker... godDAMN that's incredibly good.
I hate you.
very interesting style, i don't have many critique other than just keep pushing it and maybe a few studies here and there to understand, and therfore destory your figures further
oh and i love the little captions with ea illustration
participating in this weeks character of the week... theme was steam punk aphrodite.
i worked until ran out of time... there are still some things i want to clean up but it'll do for now.
i started with a sketchbook in my lap, sketching with a micron pen... i was really just thinking about costume ideas at first.
i basically realized that i wasn't happy with any of my sketches, thought they were too bland...
one felt too bondagey and the other felt to... princessey...
anyway, i comped em together in photoshop and was pretty happy with the results. then i painted the fucker up. ran out of time to include the dress and shoes.
Some of the earlier stuff was a little wonky but these have got real snap! nice

Really enjoyed looking through this sketchbook, you have a great grasp on both concept art and graphic design. Wish I could say something more constructive, but hey, there it is.
Also always liked your forum avatar.
Lurve this one.
Dude, I have been in a western mood for like a month now. Watching classics, playing Red Dead, oh, I love it.
Awesome work man, love the one liners, remind me of HPX's work. Also, what media are you using for these sketches? Can't tell if they're inks or digital or a mix.
Keep 'em up either way.
I love the choppy variation in the width of the lines when you ink. Excellent stuff!
"They said, please, please make love with Helen, we require an assertion of value, we are frightened."
My Sketchbook! (NSFW - some nudity/gore)

my Sketchbook plz help me become a better artist !
Blah, blah, blah. You do nice work. Blah, blah, blah.
Same old, same old. You're brilliant. You're awesome.
(which you are!)
But I want to see some STORYTELLING! I'm so hungry to see you do something with these excellent drawings you're doing! I want to see the direction you're pointing yourself in, the goals you're making for yourself, and I want to feel the MOMENTUM with you producing... oh, I dunno... A N Y T H I N G !! A short story, anything!
GodDAMN you're good. But now I want to see you go somewhere with it!
I just realized the best way to explain what I'm feeling:
YOU'RE GIVING ME ARTISTIC BLUEBALLS! YOU'RE A TEASE!
You just titillate us with a nibble here, a single illustration there... and then you PULL BACK!
Then nothing. You leave us all hot and flushed, wanting more!
You're a tease, that's what you are.
