Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it! And right now creativity is all I got going for me -- youre still years ahead of me in every other way (literally, heh)
Keep up the good work yourself, seeing your stuff is great motivation for me.

Man, haven't updated in a long time for me! Been in kind of a drawing slump. Between people dragging me back into WoW and lots of birthday party preps for my brother, havent really sat down for anything new. I did a lot of darkening on old sketches for the hell of it, but I won't repost those... for now, the only new thing in what feels like ages. And its not even that new, really.
It's been a while, folks! Still haven't gotten my groove back yet, I'm giving it time... For now, something I did really quick. (This was after reading Carnage: Mind Bomb, but I gots nothing on Kyle Hotz)
Still doing good I see You're anatomy is really good. Like that skull-cave-thingie too. Keep posting!
Thanks for stoppin' by, guys! Gonna try and update today, if I can keep my pencil on the page long enough :p
Hey iMaiM.. thx for the comment on my sb. I think you got some good anatomy going and I really like some of your poses and point of views, not to mention the skull-caves... if I can say this so that is comes out like a compliment: you got one fucked up mind --- brother
Reading your thread you mention trouble with inspiration and concentration/dicipline...
For dicipline I suggest you pick a time of day, morning, evening, whatever, just 30 mins or so, and draw - EVERYDAY!!! Sometimes it will get tough, but I promise if you stick with it, things will start to flow much easier, and your level of concentration will improve
Think of concentration - and even inspiration - like skills, they need to be used, ESPECIALLY through the hard times for them to improve...
Also for inspiration I suggest you take a trip to the zoo sometimes, there'll be animals of all kinds (including the two-legged ones LOL) and with a mind like yours you'll have merged inputs into fantacrazyimpossible outputs in no time
It kind of goes like this::: nothing comes free and the one thing that everything worthwile costs is TIME. Your time, ironically, is the only thing you have that is fully yours... so ask yourself mate, what are you going to do with yours --- I mean not to sound harsh, but I'm laying it straight when I tell you that one day your time is up and it is not of your choice ---- did you do what you wanted? I guess you want to draw - that's why you're here. so... keepitUP
Everything's said in good spirit
---:::the eye of the beholder:::---
the last two updates are great! Nice ink hatching and that last one got some great parts... (the nose and mouth is very good i think)
and because of that concentration problem... do as b.one told ya... hes absolutly right
just "get used to paint alot"... then you will see how much you will learn, how much fun it will be and because of all that you will start paint more and more
Thanks for stopping by guys, appreciate the comments! Oddly, its just lately I havent been able to focus so much... probably bloody World of Warcraft, shouldnt have started THAT crack again.
As for saying I have a fucked up mind...its about the sweetest thing EVER! I love when I get something along those lines, I guess it shows in the work.
I still try and get one good sketch in a day, I need to make a run for a new book soon though...running out of pages. Thanks for all the good advice though, I dunno if I'll go to the zoo, I'd rather look up that stuff online. Zoos smell bad
Great job in keeping this up, looks like you're going pretty steady
A few suggestions -
Mix in some more life studies because, no offense, you need it. Your full figures are alright, but your hands and faces are still falling behind. (notably it looks like you're still in the 'pointed fingers' stage) A tip would be to warm up with a life drawing (even a quick one) before you get into something you'd actually like to do ;p
Loosen up a bit. Most stuff here is an eensy weensy bit over regulated and 'defenite' Get some loopy, circular forms going to describe muscles, make some more undulating lines for forearms etc.
Other than that it looks like you're on the right track. You've certainly proved that you have the determination, now try to focus on skill building excercises and getting a looser grip
Thanks for stopping by. I'll admit, I haven't done many life studies at all, especially not lately. Mostly just quick anatomy practice before I do something I want...I'm such a slacker. I'll try getting a life study in as my first sketch of the day from now on. XD
Something new... yes, I did life studies before, just didn't scan them.
Something I started today, just another Cthulhu (must be the billionth of all time XD)
Probably going to ink it if I finish it.
Hey good stuff i like how you are progressing. i think if you do a story mock up of something before you get to drawing you could find you got alot more to draw. i especialy like the chicks with mask on....hmmmm i think i smell a comic book ion the future....lol hey have you thought about doing and coloring in photo shop or maybe even scaning some stuff so other may take a crack at some of them... i feel your work could get kick up a noch or two just by adding colo....good work
Yeah, I have PS CS2 but no tablet at the moment. I always have junk going on in my head about the character; when I was younger I made millions of comic book characters. I like to backstory something as I doodle, but generally the writing comes AFTER so... maybe planning beforehand will do me better like you say
Thanks for stopping by!
You have some nice looking poses on page 1. Others have probably said this but you should do more studies from life or life reference. I like your creative sketches but you could take them much further with studying the human form mroe in depth. I personally find it a little easier to work from photos but if you can get your GF or someone else to pose so much the better. =)
Quick drawing done from photo ref. No, she has a face in the picture, I just haven't drawn it yet.
I like this last sketch. Her form has movement but something about the shirt doesn't sit right...maybe its the way its drapped on the hip....?
Hey Liquid, thanks for stopping by!
Yeah, I thought the same Tact, but I'll post the reference so you can see...must be the way its draping on the hip, cause I think I got that if nothing else fairly close.
OK....thanks for posting the ref. You did get it pretty close...I think there just be a minute angle you missed. Still I think its a pretty accurate sketch =)
If you look, the right hip doesn't seem far enough out. It doesn't spread the jacket enough to make it look balanced/right. That's probably where the weirdness came from.
Update on Cthulhu... I fucked the face over but decided to finish anyway.
Love those skull and stair environments! Nice hatching You're inspiring me to do more figure studies too... I'm so lazy ><
