Wow! You've got lots of eye-candies in your book. Keep up!
Hey man, the last batch in#423 is stunning. I see a great jump in color treatment (something you already do real nice)and specially in rendering! my only crit would be to see some more polished pieces or taken to a more detailed state...
Also thanks for the suggestions in my last piece, it really helped me a lot. I am just uploading a revised version, would love to hear your opinion
yay thanks man, glad you like it - yeah hmm well there will be some more polished stuff ... hmm this is a sketchbook isnt it ?! im just focussing on some skill-increasing related stuff in the moment, once im a bit more satisfied with my work i might blablabla excuse excuse
mmmm those colors, I could just eat them up, ahahha. I love your work; i particular like how you know exactly where to place sharp contours and where to use soft blending, its something i need to learn myself. The enviros are kick-ass! I would love to see some more in-progress shots and see how you build them from the ground up. Great work!
Thanks for dropping by again man, and thanks alot for your input!
Damn your stuff is goooood. So much better colours than I can push out in imaginary work. Really liking the dude in front of the window and the guy with the armor in #423.
I kinda feel like the #424 requires a bit more dark values in the shadows. There doesn't seem to be a secondary lightsource inside the stairway but everything seems to be quite evenly lit. Maybe try adding some vague secondary lightsource at the bottom of the stairs or something
yo, what awesome skills in there, really like your rendering man, the mood and lights are great, (the black and white muscle dude!!) keep on sharing!
s i m o n
Really love your style and lighting, the knight is wonderful! reminds me of dark souls!
wow thank you guys 1000 times for your nice feedback, much appreciated and welcome in this "delicate" phase !
thanks! hmm yeah maybe ill add some progress or wip stuff in the next posts!
glad you like it!
thanks man, your stuff looks great!
thanks, and yeah, still working on that piece
thanks - i will!
thanks - whats "dark souls"? a computer game? - ahh just googled it, thanks again definitely should check that game out!
haha thank you!
new piece, somethign a bit more finished this time, maybe ill spend some more time on it to clean it up a bit more
Hey great sketchbook, I really like the lighting on the knight at the top of the stairs. I also love the latest piece, got some really nice details on that and the perspective is mind blowing.
Keep em coming.
Really loving your brushwork xbert.
Nice perspective on the last one. )
ah thanks again guys, you made my day/week
thanks, glad you like it!
thank you! i tried to make a perspective that helps to show the scale of the building without loosing too much detail
thanks man, thanks a lot!
wip (for that cardgame)
Niiiiiiice, the latest cardgame piece is juicy
Did you use any textures on the piece with the arches? Looks really awesome. At first I thought you might have some wobbliness going on on the archway to the right but not I'm not sure. Round shapes are so hard in such extreme perspectives. :/
yeah im using random textures in most of my paintings, in general there is no connection between the photos and the images i mainly use random photos my girlfriend shoots i dont care for angle or subject in these photos, they just add a good amount of randomness to the surfaces, like in the piece with the arches, i used a photograph of a painted pile of wood and transformed it so it fits the geometry on the walls, made an "overlay"-layer out of it and then turned the opacity to a low amount, so i had some "randomness" to play with
update on that piece above ... still far from being finished - so much timeconsuming and exhausting detail
Holy smoke, that last one is awsome. How long have you spent on it so far? I never know where the hell to start with details on evironment pieces. Do have any tips on where to get started?
Great work, keep knocking them out.
damn man! beautifull stuff i love the textures and effects you get in your paintings. really badass really nice job on post 438
wow! amazing stuff
Visit my sketchbook gogogogogogo!
Definitely i like youe stuff! At this stage i have one problem - i dont know how to finish my picture, in what style i must do it, cinematic panting or else. Mb u give me advice about how u achieve this great result with s details? Thanks)
