Here's a painting I'm giving away on my blog!
Acrylic approx. 4"x5"
awww how did i miss that chameleon looking guy! awesome updates man! love this latest one! its a real tragedy that Japan is going through at the moment. i feel horrible for them. a good friend of mine is living over there right now, thank god he lives in the south.
Really like this design. The shapes and rendering are mega solid!!! My only advice is to be more aware of the thicknesses of the materials on his costume. Give them more seams or make it more apparent it's loose cloth (for example, adding seams on the side of the torso and around the 'sleeve' hole.)
You are shading things fantastically which starts to give that thickness, but in the "drawing" sense of the word, if that makes sense, they are very flat. (the 'X' straps' for example). While the character itself has weight and gesture, his costume tends to betray that weight (except the pants, they is fiiiine )
But thats what IMO can really push the rendering to the next level. The design itself is nice- conservative but not in any way bad. I really like his anatomy, and your more animated stuff is extremely charming and awesome!

Wonderful recent posts! I'm loving the still life! A very beautiful and clean painting. Your comic is doing great as well. The design for the "Brave Story" is awesome! Love the smooth blending and expression on his face. Keep up the great work!
NickyBeats - I dunno mate, he's a fairly big guy. And yeah, really saddening situation.
Justin. - Really awesome crit, it's given me something to think about for sure - thanks!
Aresa - Hello! Thanks for the really kind words
Here's a recently finished illustration for standup comic Joe Riga. The idea was that a load of his punchlines all hang out and interact together.
I'm also available for work at the moment, so if anyone knows of any work give me a pm!
