looks sweet man, her right leg (our right her left) looks kind of weird to me though, feels too long and bent strangely. (the thigh and lower leg seem to be pointing to different directions)
let me borrow some of your colour skills :'(
nice values man. Only thing i would keep in mind is connecting a bit more the cape to the character on the last one.. ? As in having having something that puts it a bit closer to the character, value wise. I think im nit picking, but still i'd be a bit careful. Besides that, keep up those studies man
Hiya fellow singaporean! Where are you studying at right now? Love your pencils. Keep up with the cool work
paperX : haha i believed we've already discussed this on msn..Thx for the crits.
DanielC : Hey Daniel! Yea i see what you mean...the cape looks like its pushed to far back into space. Thanks for the crit!
Joey-b : Thanks!

Don't know if I can even make it in though....my entry is even below the recommended minimum resolution haha.
initial sketch and final! lol!
Thanks to PaperX, DanC and Mr. ray toh for all the crits!!!!!!!!
waaaw , like your figure studies , but i took a harder look , and the hands need more anatomy in detail study and some of them are twisted in a bizare way , that anatomy won't permit it ^^ . Line work is really tricky , you have to be careful where you add them lines , or you will risk to mess up your stuff . see ya
Nice job on the last one!
i think you could work on the window a bit more. also where her hand holding the letter, the wrist needs some work. otherwise really lovely! i'm sure you will make it in
Nice!!.. dunno if u want to work on it anymore but maybe u should adjust the shoulder... It does not seems to have the right shape. Good luck to ur entry !

love your pencil-work! the last digital is awesome as well! keep rockin'!
Sweet update! The colors you chose are really nice. Her shoulders could use some more work, right now it looks a bit odd. The necklace isn't sitting quite right either, it should fall a little more to our right. Other than that it looks great. Good luck making it in Expose!
Hey this is a cool sketchbook! Its really nice to see the progression of improvements. Keep sharing!
flamable : Thanks for crits....i'll get more detailed anatomy studies of the hand done!
kidult : Thanks!
hp : haha thanks for the crits too bad I already submitted it before posting on CA(was rushing to meet the deadline). I really don't think I made it in though
Mydrako : haha thanks for the crits dood. see above :/
NoodleDoodle : hey noodle!...I'm actually using H pencil lead in a mechanical pencil for most of them. Only on some of the really dark darks I used a B lead
Josef K. : Thank you!
Rustveld : Thanks for the crits dood.
Janos : Thanks for the crits aswell haha. Dunno if u really wanna learn how I render o.0...I do it very haphazardly.
Pixie Bergman :Thank you!
Ahh :/...been really unmotivated these days...
Couple of speedpaints i recently did...
Playing around with different brushes....trying not to over render stuff like I usually do.
your pencils are so nice! I really like the last speedpaint
the trick with the simple brushes is to get the shapes of the silhouettes exactly right with crisp edges where you need em and soft ones elswhere, they're a bit ambiguous right now. The first one does it the best. Lighting is important too, specular on the breast says it's coming from the upper left, but shoulder, arm and rib aren't hit at all, looks like the light is coming from the breast, and it's lit like it's more forward than the arm, which makes anatomy look jacked. Colors and application look good though.
more and more better, saw a practice of BENJIEMING'S
