Hello everyone, I'm a french guy from Canada I will post my studies in this thread.
Here are a few gestures and approaches on the Vilppu techniques. I wanted to understand the relation between the main points of the body and focus on the fundamentals. I didn't focus at all on the rendering, so apology for the overall sketch aspect.
Critics and comments are welcome!

Studies look pretty solid, good work. I'd like to see more darker lines and tones, like you did in some of the figures to accentuate certain areas. Did you use reference one that last set of heads?
Hey JDBI I used references for everything, and good tip for the lines, thanks!
Here are neck studies from today. In the last image I tried to understand the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the main features of the neck using pictures of people.

daaaang post more
whoa those figures/studies are looking gorgeous
Awesome work! Your figures are phenomenal, but as someone else has said, would like to see darker lines thrown in. Also try varying your line weight, it would be like icing on this already delicious cake. haha. Keep posting!
Thanks for the comments guys! I'll try to post more darker lines
Here are 1 hour of warm-up/quick gestures of people in street and nudes pictures. Apology for the sketchy 'style', I'll post clean drawings tonight.
It was a nice exercice because I only had 3-5 seconds to capture the general gesture.
Great source of inspiration! Your sense of form and lines seem to be very good. Can't wait for tonight's update!!
Thank you Milou20!
Here are some Upper Torso studies. I wanted to make more stuff but I ran out of time, I might come up with a complete Thorax next time.
The vilppu stuff is really working for you, these look great! You seem to be able to draw really well regardless, there's a lot of control in your lines. Keep on going and you can't go wrong.
some great stuff here, but would love to see more body/face type diversity. There are more kinds of people than medium sized young pretty white folks.
Your last studies are excellent. Great lines, you really get this sense of 3d which is awesome! Great job, keep up the good work! Will be following you :-).
Thanks for the comments guys!
RissaKay Thanks, once I will have my base I'll explore the differences of bodies. I got a lot of anatomy to study before I start exploring.
Hey Callergi, I'm studying drawing on my own but I studied Graphic Design, thanks for asking. I just started life drawings and I'm drawing using some of Vilppu and Hampton techniques.
Here are life drawings and a few gestures. (Poses from 15sec to 10minutes)
Manage Attachments needs a SERIOUS fix. I have to upload my stuff like 15 times before it works!
Here are other studies, a WIP for the thief character in CHOW, and a portrait study.
Very nice work. Love the figure/pose studies and the portrait is fantastic! Keep posting.
Today's life drawing poses, from 3 to 10 minutes
I gotta find a way to do quick shadings for life drawing, I might explore for the next class with different mediums. For now I only got my HB pencil.
Last pose is 15min (:
Damn, your stuff is pretty amazing! Your form and values are incredible. I would love to see a full illustration from you!

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys!
Here are 2 drawings from imagination and 2 torso studies. I noticed that in 2 years I've only done 1 male torso study on photoshop and I was wondering why I couldn't draw one from imagination.. From now on I'll work on my values while studying the upper torso and the arms/hands, I will also focus on drawing from imagination.
Mewball and JDBI I wish I could make an illustration, I got so many ideas but I still got a lot of stuff to study before I reach a level that satisfy me. I might enter in the next CHOW competition, that would be a good starting point.
