How can i change the actual colors of my palettes/tool menus? I know I can go into the windows display properties and use the classic windows them and customize all the differnet title bars and windows but I can't seem to find the one that changes the actual palette colors! does anyone know how to do this with windows xp ?
In the picture i posted you can see how the windows in the first one are a lot darker gray than the one below it! Much easier on the eyes to me! And that's why I want to figure this out, cause i work with ps all day and it can be harsh on the eyes at times!
I'm retarded! I figured it out! I guess since 3d object is the first option i kinda skipped over it!! anyhow that's the option that changes the actual palette color! Finally my eyes can relax!
Thanks for posting your answer. I hate it when people figure out the answer to their own problem but simply post something along the lines of "nvm, I figured it out." That does nothing to help others who have the same problem. So thank you for actually posting your answer.
no prob! i know what u mean!
Also, if you save the theme, you can edit the colors in the .theme file with any text editor. It lets you tweak some colors that are impossible to access using display properties. It's a good idea to save a backup of the theme and mess with values to figure out what is what, cause it's fairly easy to screw something up. I, for example, find that dark 3d objects usually make the highlights on the bevels too bright and contrasty, so I edit the RBG values to make it easier on the eyes.
cool! thanks for the info!
