Hey Auncr from that old sketchgroup with you and Dile. Great progression since then though I agree with Purb about the colours. Keep it up dude
Liking that John Berkey study Keep it up!
i really like the digital portraits and the frazetta study
Ooh that's an anaztomy study I want to do!
The values and Hues are looking pretty good in those enviros, you need to render them now \o/
Not got much to show myself apart from some life drawing haha.
matt, all this painterly stuff is looking hot. i'm proud of you and you are definitely improving :3 thanks for introducing the awesome horse stream. looks like i will try to watch it every sat. now
Koto: yes, render (: thanks, mang
teapo: yeah, you're welcome. thanks!
Metal Fingers: thanks alex"popular"man.
tryin to do studies under 30 mins to an hour and still get something from it. learning some things and got to keep on going. how do you like my floating cup? ughh
Floating cup was from life? solid study, dude. Also where can I buy one?!
Your figures are getting insanely good. reminds me of james jean! also.. that black panther at the top reminds me of the ones from The emporers new groove! just the expression on its face and the environment/shot/staging reminded me of the panthers chasing kuzco and pacha through the woods. Looking forward to seeing moooore
Oh okay. Gotchya. Looking good regardless
Ohhh yeah, the composition in the very bottom one is interesting, but I'd be weary of putting the humanoid almost dead center. The composition overall is interesting because it gives way to an almost 'eye-like' piece because of the person, but still, perhaps there is a way to offset her. Is she supposed to be floating? Because if not, then you could have her crouched and the balance would be achieved well because of the bird.
Anyway... just my terrible 2-cents.
Great stuff really like your brush and color use. You might enjoy Isaac Israels a dutch painter from the 1800's. esspecially the beach scenes.
Mat Kaminski: mat, thank you! i hardly ever think of those things when i draw, and should more often. thank you for reminding me and good eye. it helps a lot!
Bakker: thank you i shall check him out!
doing ad work for work. haven't spent this much time in Illustrator since 2006!
Lovely work on the latest pages,
Im a fan of the Black and white pieces the anatomy studies are also looking great!
Metal Fingers: thanks, but i'm tryin new things all the time. so i don't get stuck and broaden my skills. i did quick oil studies for the first time in a long time and they sucked bad haha!
WaSsiM: thanks for stopping by!
"Death of a Giant"
