Pedro Cardoso Thanks
Trying out a different style. Color palette, next to no straight lines.

Your thread title always makes me think of that Smashing Pumpkins song with the phrase "Who wants... that honey...?"
But instead, I end up listening to this song every time I see your thread pop up.
Anywho..... about your latest--seems fun. Fun palette and nice concept. Your edges are also very clean.
Zesiul Thanks, I should be getting back into those more soon.
p sage Cool. You listen to Smashing Pumpkins? I haven't listen to them in a while, thanks for reminding me. One of my favorite songs from them was. "Tonight Tonight"
Pedro Cardoso Thanks, here's another texture painting.
I wouldn't mind making a card portrait out of that sketch one day.
Should do more of them memory drawing, it's a powerful exercise. After doing them, look up photos and all the erroneous preconceptions will be smashed to pieces!!!
The girl and octopus piece is nice, however, you say there are almost no straight lines, imo, you should've just gone completely no straight lines.
Her legs are long straight lines, although it is mostly the leg coming forward because it breaks the curve of her skirt, as a result, they stick up from everything else, especially when they're almost at the center of the image and dark coloured whereas everything else is relatively bright.
Just my 5cents.
I like the girl with the octopus, but the line of her leg and where it ends up under her dress bothers me as it doesn't gel with her posture. They need to be further forward, which would change the shape of the dress to a more pronounced curve.
The first graveyard could almost be a Christmas card.
HunterKiller/Black Spot Thanks for the tips guys. Okay I adjusted her legs a bit so they aren't crossed over and making a weird tangent. One foot more forward. I also lighten the leggings so they don't attract as much attention. Hopefully it looks more natural.
Sketch from memory from Halloween concert. Ape painting in progress.
Nice colour thumbs for the ape picture.
Maybe you're done with the girl-octopus piece but I just wanted to illustrate what I was talking about before.
HunterKiller_ Thanks for the mockup. That really does help with the flow. I went a head and applied the changes.
something about your line work makes me happy
keep having fun learning and exploring
sketchbook updated October 6th
I used dark grey as base for coloring ape painting. I kind of curious if I went with a cyan or pink to experiment with instead. Champion monster concept. It has mounted a defense towers, drill or chain saw and when it's fully evolved it poop's smaller monsters from the vacuum tubes from it's back. Rough soldier concepts.
lol Your tinkering and "tankering" it just amazing. I love the progress as well as the life development you've set yourself up for. It's extremely great to see some of the experiments you've tinkered with look so beautiful, such as the bubble gum crisis fan art you made mid way in your sketchbook.
Vritra Thanks for the stars. I'll keep updating the bazooka guy.
Maerrick Thanks. It's always fun tinkering.
Here is a weapon commission done for the game Tales of Oakvale. Reorganized the creature concept. One rim lite boot to try something different.

wip soldier. Painting on red base is weird, still getting use to it.
The girl with the octopus turned out sweet. Why is a classroom full of toilets?
The shirt needs to be softer in texture.
You have a very charming style!Very great work!
5 stars! Merry christmas! *****
MY DAILY SKETCHES
If you can read this, I gave you 5 stars
Happy Holidays !!!
Black Spot Thanks...I guess it was potty time in the classroom
PieMonster I'll keep expertimenting with different styles.
Dark_Eyes Thanks man for the stars.
I polished two more soldier characters. Maybe I'll have more.

Diddy soldiers are cute, but I worry about the girl in the middle showing her butt. What would the soldiers look like with the same look?
Black Spot Opps yea I should have place a skirt on her. *fixed* If it were a guy he would either be wearing tights too, or Mr. Hanky would be dangling between his legs...lol
Color Mock Up. I'm leaning towards. Colors # 8, 13, 18. This guy would be walking around in isometric game. Like BYM or starcraft maybe on grass field or beach side

Can't help you choose as I have no idea what kind of environment these critters would inhabit. Cute though.
Black Spot: No problem. It's for a monster concept that would fit into an isometric game. It could be in grassy area or ruined defensive base something like starcraft or backyard monsters.
