Looooooong time lurker. I've always been pretty intimidated by this forum and the caliber of art here, hence my lack of posting anything. Well, I'm still intimidated, but I figure I'd start a sketchbook and maybe get some feedback. Thanks for looking.

Finals were a pain. Not enough time to do homework and work on my sketchbook. This is a couple of pages from the last couple of weeks. I hope you like 'em. Live models, unsuspecting peeps in the subway, and things from imaginary places.

Great job recognizing the planes of the figure. There are great qualities in the shading of your figures that really make them dimensional. You might want to try loosening up your lines and getting a more fluid feel to things.
These are excellent studies!!! Pen and ink? Serious anatomy studies underlying these drawings. Definate sense of planes as previously posted, strong solid form, which I love to see. Also, linework and the hatching contribute much interest as sculptural qualities are rendered out. Really like your work here. The adorned character heads are my favorites. Such wonderful design sense mixed with personal style. I'm watching this SB.

Wow, such straight clean lines.
Not much drawing over the break, at least not stuff I want to show. Schools back on so more stuff soon. Thanks for the comments, and for stopping by.

Jar: Thanks. Compliments like that make me work even harder.
Bhanu: The hatching just kind of happened. Don't really know why. But I like it, so I'm gonna keep doing it. Thanks!
Nethis: Thanks alot. I hope I don't disapoint.
Asoir: Thanks so much. I really try to get across a style, a personal flavor or identifiable....... thing. I'm glad I'm on the right track.
MRPLOT: I'm glad you like it. All the tattoos were inspired by a trip home (Oahu, Hawaii). My avatar was a Zbrush assignment for last semester of hellboy. I didn't know how to add to my signature.
Sketches, and my first real figure oil study. Thanks again everyone for the kind words. Peace.
