I'd like to say ''OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT IS THIS MY EYES ARE MELTING FROM ALL THE AWESOMENESS'' but people don't usually appreciate caps lock. ;(
So, I hid it . I love your stuff, Dan. Haha! Oh, and nice amount of comments you're getting nowadays, holy crap
I'm sure you don't need another raving fan but WOW! I just discovered your sketchbook and it's totally got me pumped with inspiration, I'd love to get as good as you one day.. maybe in the faaar future Keep up the fantastic brilliant work!
Your recent updates like the creatures are always so awesome. I'm looking forward to updates from you.
Hello and Nice to meet you.
Visit my sketchbook >.<
I hope the music helped then, and thanks
Thanks - I'll aim to please.
Thanks Lib. it's a pleasure ~
it does flow readily.
Blood of life, colours be ~
Thanks - glad you liked it
Just keep it up and have fun on the way ~ it will be fine. & thanks.
It's sexy indeed ~ not like your ladies, but still ~
I'm slowly getting used to the caps flowing over my pages, so have no fear
& it pays off to spam ~ but I'm grateful for all.
& that goes for details too.
& How does it feel?
Kind of wanted a conflict of colour/life versus death, or at least to push the ingrained dark and desaturated visuals of death - so happy it works.
Then its on ~ prepared for some butchery - and no its fine with the images you have (I'll probably try to paint over all as is)
And I will ~
Colours are the life blood.
Thanks, I often try to add stories and I'm glad it works for you.
I aim to please, and thanks
Just one image tonight.
lets give it some peace ~ (the gun needs to go). & WIP

Is it my imagination or are you doing more figurative schtuff these days. Lovin' the skin tone you achieved on the babe with the ogre a coupla pages back. Very bad "Barney" on the last page gave me a laff.
Very cool image, Dan. I love the feeling that the texture on the (robot? suit?) gives the image. It reminds me a lot of Nausicaa. I wish I could give you a critique, but it's hard to judge what's intentional and what's not on something with such exaggerated anatomy. If I could point to something, though, I think the perspective on the area around the head might be a bit off. It feels like I can see a bit too much of its left eye and the collar above it should have a wider curve to it. Either that, or the piece above that is off. Does that make sense? I can do another draw over if you want.
Jesus dude such awesome output from you lately! The wasted stuff is looking super slick and that robot is wicked! Reminds me of laputa castle in the sky
back with less than fried brain. i hope.
i'm looking at the last piece, the one with Ricardo, i love it but there's a couple of things i'd like to point out if possible.
First of all, the crop itself isn't helping it very much. I don't know, maybe you were going to do it anyway in a later stage but i'll just drop my thoughts. What i mind is the equal spacing from creature to canvas edge on top, left and bottom margins. It looks a little too controlled and perfect i think and one of the sensations i'm getting from the image is a touching moment of either friendship and trust between robot/man or imprisonment, why not. I would probably suggest to pin down the robot to the lower left, as he is now but expanding the composition a little more to the right and top. It gives your characters more space to look at, as they're both facing towards the right and it might also help a little with the feeling of having the robot central, so it would push him off a bit more excentric.
I love the colors, they do in fact justice the painting but i also like the old masters idea of picking up dominant colors and laying them in other parts of the painting for unity. The robot seems a little lonely color wise, the other character is sharing the pallete with the environment a little, so his integration is better i think. I absolutely understand the idea of having a huge chunk of metal in a serene landscape - it wouldn't naturally fit either and that is a method of contrast in itself. However, for the sake of more unified piece, i think tiny slices of brown here and there + 1-2 a little more shiny pieces on the robot who take on some sky color might help alot. Maybe some bounced green at the bottom of the bot too, but you know what i mean i'm sure.
Other than that, sweetness and i do kind of miss some hard edges in the piece for contrast.
I hope i wasn't too off, the crit might be premature as i think you're still working on it so hopefully i didn't make a mess.
and this too, i can remove the music if i make a mess, it's what popped in mind when taking a long look at your last painting. Good luck my friend.
Dude, sometimes you just make me want to beat you up!
I love the recent stuff! Please put up some step by steps, you're doing something I've been trying to figure out for such a long time. You do those really loose strokes and everything ends up so clean and neat even though I can see that the piece is pretty loose at some places.
When I try to do this, everything looks so muddy and dull.
Love the energy, and love the fleshiness. At times the enthousiasm overflows the accuracy and structure a little i would like to say, but i am tough customer to please. Keep rocking them apocalypse vibes baby!
Like the rabbit monster thing without skin! nice haha!

Awesome stuff dude! The wastedstuff you came up with are wicked awesome and your CHOWs and DSG stuff are great as well, keep rocking it up dude!!
The robot piece is amazing - Sickbrush has been way more articulate than me about the crop, but I'll drop my 5c: to me it feels a bit like it's a detail close-up of a bigger painting with a lot more space, and nature, and sky, which would make the robot stand out even more as something unnatural and strange.
Love love love the robot design.
Shit! Man you rocking.
