@ steffler thanks for stopping by..I told my girlfriend and she just laughed with an "i told you so' face...
on that last color painting i did it all in colors but paying a lot of attention to the contrasts between objects/light/dark areas and saturation... i'll stop by your SB and leave a comment
@Darknight, thanks, hahaha....it was kindof a play of words because I live in Missouri...Missery...Missouri.....same thing hahahah
just playing around with values...

two very small speed paintings less than 20 minutes each...actual size...so about 3" x 5"....will smith's mouth blows hahaha but oh well...lemme know whatcha think.
you have some nice things going on in this sb. that airbrush self-portrait from a ways back is really unique in this sea of digitals. try handling some digis with the careful attention you put into that...maybe really push a few of your pieces and see how far some long sessions will take you. keep working!
@ lexx....thanks man!...yeah that airbrush self portrait came together pretty well...I always have trouble making any of my work look finished..I try but I feel stuck many times putting in more detail or even thinking of ideas to finish a subject....thanks for that observation and I'll defnitely work on it, I think its one of my weakest points (not like any of them are strong but this one is SPECIALLY weak hahaha)
here's a quick value study from imagination...I'm pretty happy with the results:
Some of the paintings look to blurry, you may wanna try using a brush with 100% hardness instead. Sharpens up those images.
I like your weird cartoons though, like the green one going on as well. So you should be happy with the result it looks nice.
^this one is looking good, but its to blurry which is why i suggest 100% hardness.
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

Please comment on my deviant art I need friends T-T
BUY MY SHIRTS PLEASE - They're awesome.
This is my sketchbook link, I'm welcoming comments very much, I like your art and apprieciate the street style. It's a bit different from what I normally see.
@ my57....thanks man...nice seeing you around here again...yeah, I used a little soft brush on the last few paintings...but on the one you pointed out I used a 100% hard brush, except I was pushing down very softly and building up each color, I think that's why it looks very soft...
@darknight, thanks! I'm glad they came out sorta decent...I'll do mroe of em'
@marshal stevens...Will do, I'll tke a look at your stuff soon.
here's some bad value studies from imagination again (anatomy + design are very badly done, and its pissing me off, so I'll start doing some better studies soon)...C&C are always welcome!
Hey man, you've got lots of improvement.. but the blurriness is really too much.
Try using a hard edged brush, I see that you could be aiming for a unique style, but at the moment its too hard on the eyes.. I think
thanks @ Corza334....Yeah, I think it was just a period of experimentation that' i'll just pass...if you look at my older stuff, I don't really use soft brushes...I'm going back soon...I'm also experimenting w/ brush flow...which makes things look softer like that as well... thanks though!..I'll leave some comments on your SB soon.
I think your charicatures are impressive, but backgrounds would be a good thing to start studying. It would add flavor to the people you draw and even add more personality to the characters themselves
Also... if you like the quality of the blending in the blurriness, you might want to look into oil painting. It has a sort of blurred quality if you bring a lot of colors together, yet it still has the solidarity to make the painting have a hard edge.
Post some more stuff about your walls, I remember seeing a picture of that painted piece somewhere, problably in bombingscience, that you posted up 2 pages ago, with that character of a little boy sketching your piece, that was quite dope. Anyway you have got some good charicatures, keep going. Glad to see some some writers out here, haven't seen any decent graffiti posted in any of those sketchbooks in this forum, but I haven't been here for so long..
Thanks, Marshall....yeah...I occasionally try to work on bckgrounds...its kinda tough...but I'll tackle that head-on pretty soon because I'm getting to that point where i really want to do em' and |I've got several ideas for cool environments..it'll be a up-hill climb though.. thanks for the tips though
spark zero: thanks man...yeah I don't post much on bombingscience anymore...graffiti's been on halt at the moment because of lack of money and time...I've got lots of ideas for walls though and I'll be painting hopefuly this summer...still cathing tags whenever possible though ...
and that wall...here it is: painted in june 2008
just a brainfart/sketch thing...like 15 minutes...

Did you ever finish that one you posted on June 14th? If yes then post it up, would like to see the end result, liked that one.. Keep posting. I feel you with that lack off money part, painting is expencive, art is expencive..
*spark zero...sorry I didn't see your message earlier...no, I haven't gone back there and finish it..hopefully this summer I'll be going back there and adding a whole bunch of more stuff and doing more walls too...
ohh..you mean the one of the creature-like thing?...I'll work on it probably when I get back later tonight...maybe add a background too.
more doodling for the sake of doodling.
