hey, some good sketches there....i like the first one of the lady...keep hacking away..!
well this is an attempt of doing step-by-step, a really newbie one, but i didnt finish got bored... not to mention all the issues and problems there is, at end i guess was a good exercise to shading and volume.
i like to call her, the broken neck girl
today sketch.. maybe i post in later night but i doubt.. anyway, this sketch was the first attempt with not pressed charcoal ( in his most natural condition ). remember not to scan more works done with this stuff, it dirts the scan
Cool stuff man, your pencils are advancing. Do some more detailed studies on the planes of the face - they often don't quite read believably or three-dimensionally. But overall good stuff, just keep drawing every day. Mileage is what it is all about!
Keep going, and thanks for visiting my thread!
Brendan N thx, visiting your book its always a pleasure btw congratz for the 5stars i'm think this time u will maintain, u really improved hehe
OldNoobie hehe vine charcoal its fun alright, but my hands and my scanner got all dirty

Cool sketchbook, I really hope you've made it into art college. If not, keep in mind that this will not prevent you from getting better, you're already doing a fine job on your own... Keep posting, I look forward to see more...
TheGnoll thx matte :d
taxman wow thx for your kind words =)
well the exam went so so so soooo.... bad! lol .. nothing to laugh about, but damn it went really bad, only gonna know the result 3 weeks after, until then i gonna just pray to every single god of every religion ><
few days after i did the exam i went to the dentist and i took a teeth, it was growing new ones, i dont know how it say in english this kind of teeths, seems it start to grow when we teenagers anyway, i took it, and god it hurts like hell, i'm taking painkillers and other medicaments that i only heard at "House M.D" better now then after i think ..
today i thought.. i gonna participate on this week Chow, and started skething, meanwhile i went to the forum i saw today was the deadline lol... here the sketch
if you are referring to the teeth that is way back behind all the other teeth, they are called wisdom teeth here in the United States. And yes, they hurt like hell when they need to extracted, especially if the gum has to be cut open to get to it. Anyhow, rinse your mouth with lukewarm salt water every couple of hours to help it heal and reduce swelling
nice sketch, surprised you can concentrate with the pain.
oh, good luck on getting accepted into the school
This sketch is great i hope you finish : ) i ve heard about the teeth, ehehe
I dindt enter the university yet, i fail the exam last month, i still have an extra oportunity in september, but i guess theres no more
well, your drawing is getting great, unocupied post.,.. something like that. We were suppose to be colleagues T_T this year... i m still applying but is like 30 dogs to just one bone, like we say
hey, did you heard about a university in Guimarães with BD and Ilustration degree only? know anything about it?
I really apreciated your comment on allana, i lost patience with the environment, but is a next step.
how do you come up with poses that dont look like poses ( stiff)
the head is a litle big for the body
If you think you can t Draw, just draw more
OldNoobie thx for the advice, the pain sucks but its only about for 3 days, the worst is that i will extract all the 4, the sooner the better. thx, i will need it.
archipelago yeah i guess lol, the stupid think was i sketched that on the day of the deadline, next time must see whens the deadline before i start to sketch. My painting/rendering skills sucks, i will pratice on the sketch to see if i can work out more thx matte
Nistarn thx nistarn, cant wait to be colleagues and dont worry about the dogs, just keep focus and no one will stop you. i wish u the best of luck for the exam.
unfortunately i didn't head nothing about that university. its always a pleasure to comment your work, specially when u are improving so fast and i'm learning a lot from you! thx for the critic, i really miss you in the kendo ;_;
im officially in VACATIONS! to my surprise i ended the school with really nice grades and the exam result was like awesome 19 in 20 ( 95% ). all i want to do now its enjoy the vacations, with no stress and pressure. i feel soo free right now, i must thx again to all CA members for sharing their work and inspire and teach me soooo much!

Hey, man! Nice stuff in here. You are planning to finish that druid girl, right? Great. You really should. Maybe even expand the canvas down to show her full body. Will be a good practise, for sure. I should try and participate in those challenges myself, but maybe only when I'll have more free time, that is next month, blah...Wouldn't want to find time only on the day of deadline, haha.
You've worked nicely on the lines of that druid girl, which I don't see in your traditional sketches. The digital one seems more free.
yeah i guess you miss beat the shit out of me ahahahah : )
If you think you can t Draw, just draw more
A lot of the time you seem to be compressing the faces when you draw, making the faces very thin compared to the size of their heads. Maybe take some more care with support lines before you start drawing more?
I hope to see an update on your ice druid soon - it's a great start!
Love the texture you got on the last ballpoint tree.
razz thx, i thing i going to redo all the character, full body ofc unfornutly i cant draw every time i want in the computer, 1 computer for 3 persons anyway thx for the suport ^^
Nistarn haha lol nop i didnt
Saera THX for the critic =) really appreciat it, yeah i really should, i should is do some studies about it also ^^; thx, i was afraid to use the ballpoint cuz i cant erase and redo, but it came nice i guess ... again thx for your critic and support!
well i started my driving lessons gotta say really really boring... lucky me i brought my sketchbook with me ^^
her left arm looks wierd
sketching with a ballpoint pen is a challenge since once a mark is put down, it stays down But at least with light pressure, a light line can be put down as a guide. But to me, using a ball point pen is an excuse for not being neat
OldNoobie thx matte, gotta say ballpoint rullez ^^ at least for me i tend to with it do more clean lines.
well i took another wisdom teeth !!! stil 2 left :s anyway better take it out now than after i guess... anyway i started o do some anatomy stuff lets see how long i can keep it
posemaniac is great!.. I think you are drawing the head slightly too big.. and don't forget to carry the weight on the hips.. the hips are never together usually.. and also the shoulders too. As for line quality, try drawing without lifting your pen so much.. hopeully it will free you up a bit! keep it going dude.
OldNoobie thx yeah i know the site, its so great! but i still didint try use it, and 90 sec seems nice to do. thx for the support
bumskee wow its a honor have u here, thx sooo much for the critic, i just done 1 small page of gesture, still didnt got how hips and shoulders really work. thx u so much for the support.
stil have some issues but i will pratice to overcome them ^^; ( i hope .. )

good stuff since my last visit. looks like your faces are improving. and I think drawing the skull is going to help you. The biggest thing is to have the face broken down into basic shapes. and then having the features in the correct places... These last gesture drawings are great. I think they would seem less stiff if you gave more of an arch in the back and exagerated the twists a bit. Keep on going these are great!
