you have a very nice library of images in this sketchbook. i love your graceful use of the pencil and brushes. i feel like i've learned something from viewing your posts.
now you've inspired me to do more figure study work!!!
Ooooh~ youre levelling up fast man! loving your recent oils- felt good didnt it? =)
some minor minor observations up tho:
- your newest alla prima- more expressive this time round, but i'd look at framing the face with darker tones, at least to give some info for the viewer, but nice colours and tones
- and yer recent life drawings- dayum! more solid lines ya got
~anyways, minor, minor stuff, but you're progressing damn well these past few weeks- hope you can get a free weekend one of these days for another sketchmeet, until then, be seein ya soon in ghost's plein air meet!
PieMonster thank you man =D im really enjoying your pencil work =)
Rabbi Satan thank you matte! its seems that even with straight lines, the human eye has the tendency to curve them somehow, like filling the gaps, power of suggestion i guess ..
surrealitycheck hey purdie, the boy genius! practice makes perfection, draw when you get the time =)
MattGamer thank you soo much for the kind words =')
no87 cheers matte !
Aberzheim thanks brandon! your crits means a lot to me, means you care =') i havent seen any new stuff from you for a long time, plz post! since i cant go to nandos or fridays meeting
Turbosnail thanks man! its my luck number post =p
here more gestures and some doodles that ive done in my spare time at school. i got this new sketchbook, but the paper is super textured wich i kinda hate but was really cheap so i bought it=o also i need to post more personal, fantasy stuff soon...
awesome life drawings Callops!! when you are beginning to start a drawing, do you normally draw the lines first or do you throw some values down first? they look very nice man.
Fuuuuuck~ i see confidence in the charcoal! great work sirs! I'm inspired to start on several new pencil sketchbooks after seeing how strong your recent stuff is- keep on happy paintin!
as for your new sb- super textured is better actually, maybe ease a little on the pressure, and layer it slowly like what Alex does in his bust study
Update soon? Yeah, but ya know my style, my sb will probably be bumped with 10 extra pages (hint: a huge pile of life drawings on my desk and studio =P )
Wow dude. Really loving the pencil work, and the charcoal is killer! You've got such a nice way with form that kind of says everything to me. Is that the willow stuff you've used for the recent drawings? I've subbed so I can see you strive for my viewng pleasure, not just that, but I really despise your talent!
NickyBeatsv thank you =) well depends, but usually when im doing the figures without the background i go straight for the lines
Aberzheim thank matte! haha true you always update 10 pages at the time =) cant even imagine how much work you gotta have by now
0blivionisathand thank you so much =)
another alla prima portrait ( need to work out more my shapes and values rather than go for bright colors ) and an small study of skin =o
*whisper to Koto* he's levelling up too fast
so... i heard u liek broken limbs?
yummy alla primas. i wish people were nude around me all the time... wait, no i don't. eww! well just the hot girls can be nude around me all the time so i can paint them. ;]
this one has very cool colors. i like it.
lovely updates man!
Hope you're doing well!
your dedication is already paying off man, your hard work does show (regardless of what you might think)! those oils are amazing!
the brushwork is really awesome.

the life painting's super strong... dayum them lavenders are doing good fer ya
Call0ps!!! danm man your works always inspiring really like the care you take into placing each brush stroke
have a good one
till next time
sketchbook updated October 6th
Really ace stuff Callops, your life drawings and paintings are getting reeeal sweet.
Not much to crit other than maybe spend 2 minutes throwing in a couple details with a smaller brush on your paintings. The big strokes look a bit too much for the little areas like around the mouth and nose.
Looking sooo good otherwise, subscribed for sure! Keep it up.
absolutely love the monster dude. and that portrait is very nice. pastels are HELL to art with. i hate them so much, but this makes me wonder if i never really gave them a chance.
your "charcoal touch" is always very inspiring. ;]
Ei man, bom trabalho. Onde é que vais às live drawing classes? É aqui em Portugal?
